Happy Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Pittsburg

I’m new to town and was scared to go looking for Chinese but decided this place looked good! So I called in and picked it up through the drive thr. From the moment the man answered the phone he was very nice and friendly explain to me how there portions and what not work. I ordered 3 sweet and sour chickens 2 with steamed rice 1 with fried rice, I also got the broccoli chicken with fried rice(my kids will only eat sweet and sour chicken with the sweet and sour on the side and he informed me the sweet and sour is always on the side. ) I also wanted to try there fried dumplings and the sauce that went with it. I was a little disappointed that the egg rolls didn’t come with a meal but I ordered 2 of the egg rolls as well. He told me 20mins. I get there in about 30ish. Ring the bell and I’m met with the most smileys friendly man I think I have ever met! When he handed me my food I was a little worried because I could smell the soy sauce. We get home I open everything and again I’m still a little iffy because I can smell the soy sauce, but let me tell you! Everything was amazing! Probably some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! It was all seasoned to perfection! The sweet and sour chicken was cooked to perfection, the fried rice had an amazing flavor! The egg rolls were like some I used to get at my favorite Chinese restaurant back home(befor they changed it) the dumplings were top tier!, and the sauce that went with them was sweet but tangy and just all around amazing! A rateing out of 10 I would give this place an 11 and we will definitely be going back! Oh and the portions😂 let me just tell you we will have left overs for the rest of the week, because I was expecting the small portions I get back home. But no! It’s almost family sized portions! Incredible! Dining in feels like you’re invited into this family’s home where the food is cooked with care, fresh daily.

The crab rangoons are perfect. Most crab rangoons are mostly large wonton wrappers with a little filling and very crispy, but these are soft and pillowy with a thin wonton wrapper. They’re perfectly bite-sized, so you’re not having to crunch around with bites that are just wonton.

The egg rolls are great, but I think the dumplings are even better. Perfectly tender with the right amount of filling.

I ordered the spicy pho and loved it. It wasn’t super spicy, but every once in awhile some of the chili oil will hit the back of the throat and clear the sinuses. The broth—🤌🏻. It wasn’t just beef and spicy flavor, but there were additional layers of herbal complexity. Great portion size.

The fried pork belly is really good. The flavor is spot on and not salty tasting. The portion of my dish was awesome. They have a great selection of dishes.

The facility is very clean inside and out. The atmosphere inside is like home. It appears to be a warm family business. The gentleman that served our table was about the friendliest man I have ever met, his personality was really cool, he made our visit fun. I ate here with my workmates they enjoyed him as well and they really liked their dishes as well.

The prices are very reasonable and this family prepares and serves your meal

The establishment is a little small, however this means nothing compared to what you receive. In fact I ate lunch here today and now I'm ordering supper from here right now to bring home...
