Epic fail. So disappointing. Wanted this to be a fabulous evening more than ever after a stressful week. Beautiful drive out to the Meadery/Farmstead. Picturesque. Quiet. Peaceful. And that's where it ended. Went to the Meadery/taproom first; took us (our whole group of 7) 20 minutes to get our pours...and there were only 6 other people there. Waitress was nice to explain everything but we had to go to bar to get served, and that's where the hold-up was. The pourer was nice & knowledgeable, but only one server. The other person behind the bar (man/beard) was working on wifi, instead of helping the pourer or customers. Hmmmm. Finished there & went into the Farmstead dining room. Seated in a small alcove, SO hot & stuffy. Staff did not know how to open skylight, nor turn fan on (hostess should've handled both). While in taproom, we were told same menu was available in both Meadery & Farmstead. But when seated in Farmstead, waitress advised that was incorrect (one person in our party really wanted pizza, but now that was off limits yet upon our departure, we saw that others were indeed eating taproom food in the Farmstead). Ok, no big deal; we order off menu. Takes 30 minutes for all pours/drinks to come out, and over an hour for food delivery. (We found out later that the 2 waitresses in the dining room were also covering food service in the taproom; stretched way too thin. Not their fault. Listen up, management!). Brioche rolls on burgers were stale/hard to the point you could not bite into them. Shrimp Scampi had a good # of shrimp that were nicely done but no lemon, no parsley, and no garlic. Just butter in the bottom of the bowl. Took us almost 20 minutes to get the check and then another 20 to pay. Again, not the waitresses' fault but management stretching employees too thin. There was a nice lady in a pink dress who came over and asked how everything was (instead of working to support the waitresses) and at that point, we just wanted to get out of there it was so hot. What was supposed to be a relaxing, peaceful dinner turned into one aggravation after another. I'll go back because I want them to do well. We'll forgo the dining room & eat pizza outside on the back picnic benches with the meadow scenery and a beer (and bring our dog) instead of the below- average meal and service. When we left, every table was full. I hope they can keep it that way. Work hard, you guys! We want you to succeed. Even though your tables were packed, you were not providing the food quality, or beveridge/food service you should be, regardless of how your food is priced (although for what you're charging, it should be much,...

This is kind of a hard rating to give but this comes down to bang for the buck and value. The staff was super nice and they were a lot busier than normal due to the festival in town but they definitely were struggling with the increase in customer flow.

Did not realize the beers in pink on the board are not actually their own beers. But regardless the beers we tried were really great. The Russian imperial bronze award-winning Stout was delicious. As was the prairie artisan ale, Russian imperial Stout We think we actually liked a slight bit better. For three 6 oz pours They were about 12 bucks a piece which found to be a little bit pricey compared to many other higher quality beer places we've been to.

The setting on the farm was beautiful great landscape great view plenty of seating and very enjoyable, the inside interior barn area was a nice little spot too.

We decided to grab food, ordered a couple of burgers and sadly a handful of fries came out and a pretty good burger not the best not the worst but decent for $22 each felt a little bit overpriced for the value. We then threw caution to the wind and ordered a blueberry bacon pizza and after about 20 minutes we were informed that they were out of the ingredients to make it so we substituted for the three little pigs pizza which is more so like a meat lovers for a few dollars extra. $26 for a 12-in pizza I believe most are all ingredients are probably farm to table but just felt a little bit overpriced. Again they were slammed pretty busy but we witnessed the head chef actually come out and wait on some tables if they were so busy and had people waiting 40 minutes to an hour for food the head chef should not be out waiting tables lol It was nice to see and she was very pleasant and very engaging but there seems to be some growing pains with this place.

Don't get me wrong this is not a bad place, the food is good (but not great), the beer is good, the setting and atmosphere and staff all are good just when you compare it to so many other places that you've been it is overpriced for what We felt...

This is a review for the bar space not the restaurant. We were greeted promptly and directed to the bar as we wanted a more casual vibe for an early afternoon lunch. The bar area was maybe a third full, if that. The biggest complaint was that the two bartenders were not friendly and acted as if we were inconveniencing them every time we went up to the bar. When I asked to take a menu or two back to our table, when I asked about the size of the pizza (definitely not the 16 inches she said), when I put the order in, and when I asked to close out. Total lack of attention and respect or even a smile. It’s basically counter service so where’s the hospitality portion if you’re asking for a set tip on expensive foods. They did try to clear our table three times, even though plenty of seating was still available. One time by sliding the pizza peels and knocking off food debris onto the table. A young man attempted to clear plates later when we hadn’t finished the poutine. The space was very nice and the food and beer were fine. I guess the $62 we paid for (without tip) for a pizza, appetizer and two beers was for the views. Seemed far too expensive for a 12 inch floppy oily pizza and rude service. The host of the restaurant was lovely and if it’s any indication of the restaurant then it might be better than the bar. The parking lot was large and the farm-stand across the street was nice.

Our visit to Moon Farmstead was nothing short of delightful. From start to finish, the experience blended incredible food, warm hospitality, and a charming setting. We started with the gazpacho and seafood bisque and other appetizers which were excellent, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The menu offers thoughtful options for vegetarians, and the cheeseboard in particular stood out: a well-curated selection of cheeses accompanied by fresh fruit, making it a standout dish even among the more traditional entrées. For our main courses, the mushroom pie was rich and savory, a comfort dish done right. The hot honey carrots were a surprise hit perfectly roasted and some of the best we've ever had. The burger was generously sized and satisfying, and we finished the meal with a lemon ricotta cheesecake that was light, creamy, and the perfect sweet note to end on. The owners were attentive and genuinely welcoming, making us feel right at home. The staff was equally friendly and helpful, adding to the relaxed, inviting atmosphere. As a family of seven, we appreciated the ample parking and the breathtaking views that surround the restaurant an ideal setting for a special night out or a relaxed family dinner. Moon Farmstead is a gem worth returning to. Highly recommended for both the food and the experience.
