Steakouts Homeplate Pittsgrove — Restaurant in Pittsgrove Township

I had heard so many great things about this place and was excited to be trying it for the first time. Sat down and was introduced to a friendly waitress who was very helpful. I Love long hots and was excited to see stuffed long hots on the appetizer menu. With a price of almost $10, I thought I would get a decent amount. I was wrong. Now to be fair I don't know what they sell for on average but when only two came out on the plate, I was severely disappointed. It wasn't all bad though, they were absolutely delicious. Also ordered the "Dive In Dip" which was also amazing. A wonderful blend of Cheses, spinach and fire roasted red peppers. Mealtime, now here is where things go downhill. I never really buy an expensive meal because I just don't spend like that but Prime Rib was on the menu. With a price of $37, I thought I was going to be in for a real treat. I ordered a loaded baked potatoe with spinach as my sides. My wife ordered the Penne Alla Vodka. When the meal came out, I was astounded at the size of my prime rib, but my excitement was short lived. I ordered it medium rare which it was cooked perfectly, but not as tender as I've had at other places. It was completely flavorless and I NEEDED to have some steak sauce to eat it. My baked potato did not feel or taste like it was completely cooked and the temperature of everything including the spinach was what could barely be considered warm. To be honest if I had butter for my potato, I don't think it would have melted at all. My wife said that hers was barely warm and while it was not the worst Penne Alla Vodka she's had, it was no where close to being to best. When I was done my meal, I went to use the restroom and as I got close to the bathroom area which was just on the other side of a short wall with other people dining in close proximity, it began to smell like the inside of a barn. That urine soaked hay/mud smell if you're familiar with farm life. I want everyone to understand that it is not what the meal cost which disappointed me, but with all the hype I heard and with a name like steakouts you would think they could get prime rib right. As we exited, the exhaust from the kitchen was putting out such a delicious smell, if only I could same the same about my steak. I came here with a date on a recommendation from the date. He was talking about this burger he had and how he tried to go back and get it two other times and they were out of it. The burger is the wedge and I used to work at lone Star steakhouse in saloon in Egg harbor township before they close down. The wedge was our signature salad and basically the burger is the same thing but with a burger. Is it delicious burger with blue cheese blue cheese crumbles and lettuce and tomato The salad was just a triangular wedge of lettuce pretty much a quarter of an iceberg head with bellucci's dressing blue cheese crumbles and tomatoes. It was not really a big fan of the salad but the burger was out of this world to die for delicious. I even though it's about an hour from my house I would come back just to get the burger again and I don't even really eat burgers I never order burgers. But I will be now yum yum.

We did have a very nice waitress She was very kind She had a great disposition and she was moving The problem was it's a big restaurant the restaurant was crowded The bar had people all the tables were full there was karaoke and I believe there was even some outside tables available and I saw one server in the whole place and you could tell that we had one server most of our time was spent waiting for something That did not make for a great atmosphere in and of itself they really should think about hiring one to two more people last night there should have been at least...

Used to be a good place but unfortunately it has gone down hill. Went there with my family for Father’s Day and service was horrible. We got our drinks, all was well. We ordered appetizers, all was well. By the time we actually ordered dinner we had been there about 40 minutes. No biggie as we had a larger party, but no one else was really in the restaurant so we thought it was strange. Well we waited, and waited and waited for quite a while for our dinner, in the mean time, our waitress was super hard to track down for drink refills. She finally can over and explained that there was only one cook so it was taking some time, and she apologized and our dinner should be out shortly. Well, about 20 minutes later (total time being there had been about an hour and a half), dinners start to come out. Our waitress brings out 5 dinners, which is fine and says the other 2 will be out. Well we didn’t realize I guess they still had to make the other 2 dinners because it was a good 25 minutes later that one more dinner was brought out and another 20 for the final dinner to be brought. It was ridiculous. The final dinner was just boxes up to take home since everyone else was pretty well done eating at that point. One meal the chicken was half burnt which sucked , but all other meals were good. Service was just horrible. I don’t like to complain because we have had great service in the past, but really?
