Anything less than a 5 star rating for this place is uncalled for. I've been visiting for years and every experience is better than the last! I meet new people almost every time I visit! The staff is the friendliest around and its always a pleasure when Miguel comes out to say hello and thank us for patronizing his restaurant. It more than likely will take a little longer than going to a chain restaurant because everything is made to order in the back. They've run out of an item a few times which didn't disappoint me, rather, made me smile because it told me they made what they made for the evening and when it was gone it was gone #FRESH.... It's a lounge atmosphere anyway. I don't go there to be in and out in a half hour so if thats what you're looking for, it's not it. As far as it being expensive? It's not red robin. If you want to spend 40 bucks and be in and out, wrong place. However, every time I go I order 2-3 tapas , 2 entrees, and never less than 5 or 6 martinis (2 people) and the bill is ALWAYS under 120 bucks. Actually on the cheaper end for the service and quality you will get to be honest. So if you're cheap, rushed, or don't have any taste in decent food (pun intended) than no, this isn't a good restaurant for you. If you enjoy a nice ambience, the friendliest staff, and fantastic food?? This place comes highly...
Read moreThe Food here is almost an experience. I grew up in the Village of Belfast and remember the Pennsylvania Hotel which has been transformed by Miguel. The bar is an antique with intricate detailed workmanship. Yes the place has a lot of the original feel with a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed a homemade and Delicious Sangria while my husband had a mixed drink. We have ordered take out from here a few times. We try some thing different each time. Today was our first time eating here. We have tried several appetizers and entrée with out a single complaint. Both take out and eating inside We had very nice size servings. The seafood is fresh I love the diver scallops but honestly every dish we have tried has been magnificently enjoyable. Miguel is a Chef and as a fussy eater I literally have no complaint. Even the bread and dipping oil was tasty. Bring an appetite, this is...
Read moreI love this place. Like seriously love this place. I usually take my fiance here. It's such a great place. It feels like you should wear a suit and tie, but you don't have to, I've gone there on my Harley. The lay out has two sides. When you walk in on the right there is a larger dining area with a more open lay out. Candle light on each table makes it a cute place for couples. On the left is a smaller area, not much smaller, but the bar is on this side with a tv. And there is an area where I saw a live jazz quartet play. The food is amazing. I always get escargot. Amazing. The guy who works there is a riot. I would watch him do a comedy skit if he ever did. The staff seems to truly enjoy their job and coworkers and it makes you feel...
