TLDR: Honestly AMAZING PUPUSAS. There is no doubt about it. However, the customer service is absolutely horrible. Full Review: Honestly AMAZING PUPUSAS. There is no doubt about it. However, the customer service is horrible. We came for the first time last week and waited for over a half hour before we had to wave someone down and ask to give our order. The wait time for that visit was typical. Only to mention that we had to flag someone down just to pay, well after we were finished. When ordering pick up they typically run 5-10 minutes late. However todays experience is the worst encouraging this post. I placed an order over the phone at 7:18pm. I was told 30 minute wait time, know they would typically be busy I showed up around 7:57 about ten minutes later then the quoted time. Upon my arrival I asked for my order to be told that they had not even started the order yet. I was surprised to which the young woman at the register aggressively gestured saying “well, we are busy”. I asked how much longer as I had the baby in the car and was told 10 more minutes. At 8:15, (approximately 15 minutes later) we went in to check again and were told 2 more minutes at 8:20 (5monites later) I went in, I was charged for my food and when I asked for it I was told it would be another 10 minutes. We finally got our food at 8:34pm. Nearly an hour After we were told the food would originally be ready. Not once was an apology offered or anything, just an attitude that we should have expected this. Food is good but not worth the attitude...

Could’ve been more welcoming, entrance facing street was locked and no sign directing you to use annother entrance, found that out the hard way. Upon walking in was greeted with a head nod, like “what’s up”, I guess they could tell I wasn’t from around there. Now as for what I ordered, I called in for a pickup for their social media famous pupusa pizza. I ordered the chicarrón and queso, the box was drenched in oil underneath, parchment paper would help with that but the taste and the over all appearance of the pizza was just not pleasing and did not look like the pictures. I was quoted 45 minutes for my order to be ready and it seemed it was done sooner with the amount of oils the box had saturated, taste was good and while I understand this is a messy hands on food it still shouldn’t have looked the way it did. Also the sauce that comes along with the cabbage should be packaged in a container not a bag, also the employees inside seemed tired I assumed maybe they were also the owners of the establishment based from their social media page, and maybe they’ve lost their touch and forgot why they opened that restaurant, hopefully this review can help them build that fire inside them again. So I can come back and hopefully have a better experience, otherwise I don’t see that restaurant thriving anymore then what it has since it...

Terrible service; police had to get involved. Placed an order for some food and was seated at a small table, waited nearly an hour, and when I asked for an update, I was told that "This isn't a McDonald's". I told them thats okay, I just want to pay for the waters and appetizers I had been served and be on my way.

The staff tried to charge me for the food I was never served, and when I refused to pay for it, called the South Plainfield Police. I waited and explained to the police what had transpired.

Legally, with dine-in restaurants you are not obligated to pay for anything you have yet to be served. The wait staff got to enjoy learning this lesson by the police themselves, while I got to enjoy saving myself the money of any future business this place may have gotten from me.
