We arrived around 5:00 PM on a Thursday. We were the only customers so there was parking on the street and plenty of parking in the back lot. Looking from the outside, this diner has a very nostalgic feel to it. The cook greeted us when we walked in and took our orders immediately. We each ordered the lunch special that consisted of 2 Texas weiners (with everything on it), fries, and a can of soda at a decent price of $12. The food was ready in about 5 minutes and the texas weiners were great! The atmosphere was quiet during the time we went, making it slightly awkward while we were eating, but the experience was great nonetheless. We will definitely come here again!

The friendly cook prepares the food efficiently and with care. Portion sizes and prices are reasonable and there is plenty of parking in their shared lot. Payment is Cash Only.

I honestly was a fan of this restaurant from young until my father passed and I haven’t visited so much recent but I do remember the patty melt coming WITH ketchup and Mayo, and the one I ordered tonight had neither. I called the restaurant and they told me to come back so they could put it on my sandwich as if I’m not miles away smh. They want to charge a price but not offer customer service that’s equal. it’s terrible unfortunately. If you’re out late night and find yourself in the Plainfield are just go to McDonald’s and...

White Star is a great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. The menu and food available is ready to satisfy any appetite or craving.
