Decided to try out a new place and we found this place advertised as one of the Hendricks County Flavor Fest participants. It's located just west of Plainfield and is right off the main road. The restaurant is very welcoming and the people inside were super friendly and helpful. We decided to get a sampler platter that consisted of pulled pork, brisket, ribs and normally a chicken quarter but they were out of chicken. They offered for us to replace it with anything so we tried their burnt bologna which is there contribution to the flavor fest. It also came with three sides which we chose fries, slaw and hushpuppies. Everything was amazing. All the meats were cooked to perfection and the sauces they had on the table were amazing. We went and tried Double D's Southern BBQ in Belleville today, and let me tell you it did not disappoint!

The second we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and mouth watering aroma.

we ordered the 1/2 rack 🐖 entrée w/ 2 sides & the brisket 🐃 entrée w/ 2 sides. I was so pleased when I was asked if I wanted a leaner cut of brisket or with some fat, which was so great because I do not like the fat ( I known, it's the best part..lol) but it's not for me. I chose the baked beans & fries and my husband got green beans & hush puppies. The baked beans were the right amount of sweet & spicy & the green beans were cooked with pork like my mom always made.
