Haven't been to Edis in years but friends of our keep recommending so we gave it a shot. Went this past weekend and quite honestly the food was outstanding. Had one the specials stuffed chicken and risotto everything was so fresh and outstanding perfectly cooked and seasoned. I raved about the food. The service was great and the owner came and spoke with us and even offered some free desert to go home with us. We declined ed but really appreciated the gesture.
Fast forward a few days and decided that it was so good let's pick up some food to go tonight. What a mistake. Went with a friend and we ordered dinners, he had 4 different dinners and I had one to go. They brought all the food out together and mixed all the dinners together. My friend had chicken parm and veal parm and I ordered a veal parm. When they handed us the meals they couldnt tell which were which even though we ordered separately. So even leaving the restaurant the best they could do was offer a 50/50 chance that you were getting the right meal?
I rolled the dice picked one and ended up getting the right meal, veal parm, what I got was C‐ meal. Overcooked spaghetti, garlic bread that wasn't toasted just wet bread and Veal Parm patties that are the pre made, breaded ones you get in the freezer section of your grocery store. Everything was a disappointment and I was so excited as the food was so good a few days earlier.
I will give it one more chance as the people were very nice and attentive and again the first time the food was really good.
Which is the real Edi's the great specials or the weak food we got tonight. Before anyone bashes me I did check with my friend as he ordered 4 separate dinners as well and was really disappointed with 3 out...
Read moreI stopped in this morning for breakfast and quickly realized I was going to have to take a sandwich to go as I was short on time. I selected a seat at the counter and had a look around. There were four tables that had diners at them. We have ordered pizza and sandwiches from Eddie’s several times and everything is always been delicious. The breakfast sandwich and hash brown I ordered to go were delicious. My only complaint is the server. She was not the least bit friendly and clearly seemed frazzled and annoyed with the customers in the building. I also work in the industry and could clearly tell it was not very busy not enough to warrant the attitude and frustration coming from this young woman. When folks go out to breakfast, they want to be greeted with a smiling friendly face, and unfortunately, this young woman did not offer that to anyone. We will continue to order from Edi’s , but I think I’ll stick with picking up to go orders as the dine in service was less...
Read moreI order there all the time I don’t know what happened, but I ordered a roast beef grinder with provolone cheese no lettuce or tomato. I got a half a loaf of bread with mayonnaise on it one piece of roast beef that tasted really old and no provolone cheese I return the item and the owner would not even come out and speak with me. They asked me if I wanted another one. Why would I want another roast beef grinder when your roast beef tasted old and who’s ever making the grinders is only putting in one piece of meat on them . The waitress was called the owner would not come out, and I am just very disappointed because I have always gotten better there. I won’t order there again not because of the problem with the food but because. Nobody cared that there...
