Hunan Wok — Restaurant in Plainfield

Zero stars but we all know that’s not an option. They messed up one of our orders and we could not get it fixed because they closed. I go today to let them know they messed up the one order. The guy offered to replace it but we were already over it, the food is not that great to be eating it 2 days in a row. This is where you order when everything else is closing or fast food is not an option. The guy was being nice about it at first but when I came back with the order for a refund (it was tossed so contents spilled out) he said he couldn’t do anything about it because it’s not full. lmao. Of course it’s not it was tossed out. I even asked him facetiously if he wanted me to bring the garbage bag & he said yes. Pure jokes. Then again, what do you expect from people who don’t even wash their hands as they eat, answer phones, and cook? I witnessed this as I was there today talking to him. The chicken & broccoli here is absolutely disgusting. I stopped ordering that years ago. We only order shrimp & broccoli from here. He was completely unprofessional & incompetent. $40 wasted when he could’ve just refunded me the $15-$17 for the wrong order. He said we said the wrong thing, we know what we said. They messed it up. We always get the order right. They most likely gave us someone else’s order that they didn’t want or messed up and didn’t want to throw it out so they gave it to us. The staff is VERY VERY NASTY!!!!!! I guess they are used to not dealing with educated people of color! I gave my order over the phone and the lady that answered had no patience to take my order, because the other line kept ringing! I asked her how much would my order be, and she had the nerve to say "oh my God" I said excuse you is there something wrong with me asking how much my order is so I can go to my ATM and get cash being that you don't take cards, and she said I'm just busy!!!! I guess me spending $50 wasn't good enough for her to take the time and service me ! Costumer service is everything and the whole staff at Hunan Wok needs to take a course in costumer service! Haven’t ate here since I was in my early 20’s I’m 38 now. I decided to pull up one day and grab some food since I was in the area. I saw the same young man still working at the counter. This visit he kept giving me attitude and I was chill spoke to him with respect since my family supported this business from 2001 to 2013. But yeah once he started turning his face and talking crazy I knew it was going to effect the experience I was about to have with the food but I still gave it a chance and I even gave the young man some grace since I dont think his attitude he was giving was meant for me. Just misplaced anger. But y’all i swear I’m not trying to be shady or spiteful but that food was nasty AF.
