Starks & Luce Coffee Parlour and Bakehouse LLC — Restaurant in Plainfield

I will post pictures another time, but let me tell you...Starks & Luce is phenomenal!!! The atmosphere when you walk in is very laid back and the decor is very chic, welcoming, and cozy. The staff is very friendly and walked around to pick up dishes when we finished our late breakfast. The building is clean and spacious and does an excellent job of paying homage to the building's history while still feeling modern with tasteful updates! The baked goods were absolutely delicious. They even had fresh cookies for sale that were still warm from the oven! The iced chai tea latte was so good that I got a second one to go. My mom and I stopped for a mother-daughter date and we decided we will be making it a weekly occurance. We can't wait to try the wraps and salads they have for lunch next week. Starks & Luce is our new go-to coffee stop. It is so relaxing and not too loud that you can just curl up by the fire and read a book, or play one of the many games they have out with a group of friends. I found this coffee shop while driving to Illinois from Wausau on Christmas Eve. I did a quick search and all other coffee shops were back in Stevens Point which we had already passed. We decided to stop and made it about 30 minutes before they closed for the day. One of the best coffee drinks I had during our stay in Wisconsin, and we went to quite a few in Wausau, and one of the best from my entire 2 week stay in the Midwest. I live in Washington state, so I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to good coffee options. To find a coffee shop with not only well made and delicious coffee drinks but yummy pastries and a warm, cozy and welcoming atmosphere in a small town, I was quite pleased! My son has already said we have to go back the next time we're in Wisconsin because the strawberry pastry he got was "The best thing ever!" My husband and I have been been stopping at Starks & Luce when we are passing through the area or meeting up with friends. We are totally impressed with their food and hospitality and homey atmosphere! Last stop we made, I purchased a fall sweatshirt (yes, they also have very nice merchandise) and there was a raffle going on and the drawing was a wonderful basket of goodies and guess who won?.......It was me and am very grateful for such a generous basket of goodies!
