Plainfield Bowl & Bar — Restaurant in Plainfield

I will go back, but there is most definitely room for improvement.

My fish was FANTASTIC! The fries left quite a bit to be desired, however. They were cold and not very crispy. The pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked good!

The bartenders were very nice. They were out of the booze I asked for though. We ate at the bar. After we were finished with our food, it took a long time to get our bill and we weren’t asked if we wanted more drinks, even though we were there for 45 minutes or more chatting with other patrons.

They used the old bowling lanes to make the bar, which is super cool!

I did find it strange that there were cords hanging all over the place. The bartender had to duck underneath one every time she came to talk to us. Also, from where we were sitting, we could see cords hanging from behind the cash register and in several other places. It would go a long way to improve the atmosphere if things were cleaned up...

Wouldn’t step back in this place if I was in a coffin! Weeds and overgrown shrubbery all on the wall in (what 20 mins to clean?) After waiting to be seated at an empty place besides the bar which the bartender only cared about, well besides the 4 month old girl she had there at work with her. She actually fed the baby on the bar and than put it in a stroller and strolled to other side of the bar to see if everyone was ok with their drinks, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! At this point couldn’t wait to get out of there but had ordered already. Pizza came and it was terrible kinda wish I would have just paid for it all before it came and left without out the food. It’s obvious this place stopped in time and has no goals of any kind of cleaning or anything done to it that would make anyone thinks it’s actually sanitary to eat or be at. Surprised they haven’t been closed down yet. Advice is...

This place has the best pizza in Plainfield. They also have a wide variety of beer, so I really enjoyed the bar part of its name. I have bowled here in the past, but it was quite a while ago. I don't want to leave a review on the bowling lanes. I don't know how well they're maintained year round, nor did I know the current prices, but if you're in the mood for pizza &/or beer, this is the place to go while visiting Ed...
