Beer Belly's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Plaquemine

This is your basic, hole in the wall, neighborhood bar. It seemed as though everyone knew everyone and everyone was very friendly and approachable. They had karaoke that night, which personally they could've chosen better music but I'm not getting up there to song so I feel as though I have no say in the matter. The only downfall is, bc it's a popular bar for the local plant workers, I did not appreciate the cat calls, whistles, and derogatory remarks being made about me as I walked past a few of them. I found that to be disrespectful and it made me uncomfortable. But, the drinks were fabulous and the workers were friendly. They seemed well equipped to handle any situation should it arise. I have always had a good experience here until they would not accept my license that was renewed already. The female who claimed to be a manager said that they do not use the renewed driver's license. I had all of my necessary document needed and up to date, yet she still refused to let me stay at the facility. VERY rude and wrong, she would not even allow me to show her my proper documentation, she was walking away and ignoring me. Extremely wrong and rude. I will be reporting this to proper authorities. We went here while we were visiting friends in Plaquemine LA. This location has been different restaurants over the years. It's a bar, so we were expecting typical grill food. However, I ordered potato skins...they were delicious. The burgers were huge, and tasty. The hamburger itself was thick and large. I recommend this bar/restaurant if you want a quick, good meal. Sometimes, you can find a "hidden gem" where you...
