Sugar Whipped Bakery — Restaurant in Plattsburg

Sugar Whipped Bakery is not just a cute little bakery with sweet treats it is my go to coffee shop right on Main Street I will often go in for my favorite hot beverages and still find myself there an hour later chatting with the super friendly staff, local LEO and teachers, or the customers that I see here regularly! It's small and quaint, and the perfect environment for an escape from reality. The coffee and lattes are extremely reasonably priced and the bean roast taste is superb. Sugar Whipped always has a excellent bakery selection to choose from and I have been able to get Gluten Free goodies too! They have a fast Fiber wifi in house, anyone can use, so if you find yourself needing to get some work done there is plenty of room for that too. Or sit and put your phone away while you get to know a few of your neighbors and enjoy the quaint atmosphere! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone for a great cup of coffee or try a White Chocolate Amaretto Americano MY FAVORITE!! And in the summer~ iced coffee!! Oh~ and if you are in need of the PERFECT birthday or wedding cake... look no further!! Sugar Whipped Bakery creates works of art that taste AMAZING!!! Sweet surprise! I wasn’t looking for this place. I was passing through Plattsburg and drove through the square and was looking at all the small business, mom and pop shops (the square and downtown Plattsburg is for another review!) and saw this bakery. This place is incredible. The best word I can come up with to describe it is “charming”. The owners clearly are very artistic and creativ (to see them able to express that in baking is remarkable). The menu was impressive. Coffee, espressos, and everything that can be made with them, donuts, cupcakes, and breakfast items! I saw egg bites with spinach and smoked Gouda or chorizo and pepper jack! Lemonade from scratch, tea, and these almond croissants that I took home (also from scratch) 6 stars! I have not been in stores like this since I was a little girl. I don't know how to say enough good things. I'm an elopement planner and wedding photographer. Sugar Whipped crew - Melissa, Ryan, et al., have come through for me so many times. The services they provide are top notch. One of the most important things I look for in wedding vendors is that they CARE. Melissa truly cares deeply about each of her clients and makes sure everyone gets the love they need and she pours it in to her recipes. I think that's truly her secret ingredient. Communication is always clear and concise, the cakes she provides are stunning, meticulously created, delivered SAFELY, and are DELICIOUS. Not to mention the bakery itself gives me cozy vibes and sweet treats.
