Golden China — Restaurant in Plattsmouth

We got ourselves the seafood boil from Golden Dragon for my birthday.🎉 We each had to get our own. I mean who wants to share?

There's actually 5 of them. The last one didn't have shrimp and instead had another crab cluster.

This was how it was listed to me: 🦞Combo D🦞 $33.99 Includes: 1 lobster tail, 1/2lb snow crab leg(1 crab clusters), 1/2lb shrimp(13), 2 red potatoes, 2 corn It also came with sausage (chopped up) and 2 hard boiled eggs 🥚 which wasn't listed when they shared with me the menu. The crab cluster 🦀 exchanged for shrimp combo was $41.99

Flavors were on point. Did not find it too salty. You needed to break into the crab, but the lobster was already flayed out for you so easy to grab. Pricing on this is about $9 cheaper than King krabz for the comparable meal.

Pickup was pretty easy. We ordered off of Facebook messenger. They have been very friendly and even did a follow up checking on what we thought. I gave them the time of pickup. They have a drive through window you pay at then we drove to a parking spot and had to wait in the car. They brought it out to the car but it came 2 at a time. I'm looking forward to the next time we order this.

It's located in plattsmouth. Lots of parking spaces as it has its own lot Pokemon: Lots in the parking lot when we went though not close enough to a pokestop. However plattsmouth itself seemed to have a on the area around...

It is with a sad heart I make this post. I have loved The Golden Dragon since we moved to Plattsmouth in 2014. We have eaten there so much, they don't know our names (we never exchanged them) but knew our voices when we called in orders and what our favorites were. It is now under new ownership, and I will not be eating there again. The sweet and sour chicken, you pour the sauce over it, it is no longer cooked and caramelized on the chicken. The dinner combo had barely any cashew chicken and tasted like the sauce was almost straight soy sauce. The vegetables were cooked to where they were barely warm. The crab Rangoon, not sure what they did to that, I know they used to much sugar. New owners often mean changes, but this is a travesty. I am not trying to be mean, but warm people. It is not the same folkes. I am surprised I have not seen more about this with hearing about the refunds being requested. We actually left most of our meals. I told the young gentleman who has worked there for years could only apologize to us when he saw our faces when he delivered our food. He looked so embarrassed serving it. It used to be a favorite, and now I don't want to go back. I am sad, to loose such an amazing place. I wonder what will go in there next. I c annot see it succeeding in Plattsmouth for long, we were so spoiled...

This little restaurant has cute decor, booths for eating in, a comfortable waiting area for takeout (with a TV showing the food channel), and a varied menu. Selections do not have a lot of flavor variation...really only 2 or 3 basic sauces are used (which is the only reason I couldn't rate the food higher), and the meats and vegetables are arranged in different combinations, but the flavors are appealing. Quality of the meats is good, the seafood is even better, and the vegetables are good quality and varied.

Fried rice is the default, so if you want white rice for a healthier dish, simply request it.

The lunch special is a fantastic deal, as this restaurant offers very generous portions, and 1 serving of a chicken dish is enough to feed 2 people in most cases. (If you're really starving, get a whole one yourself, but you may have leftovers). With a $5 chicken lunch special, it really cannot be beat. This isn't the place if you're looking for a top of the line fancy Chinese restaurant, but if you want to grab a decent, tasty lunch, don't hesitate to drop in. Oh, and you can feed a family for considerably less than most restaurants, too.
