This golf course is under repair and it appears they are making some nice modifications and additions. It’s a picturesque course with a lot of potential. The biggest drawback is the greens. The greens are practically unplayable from the perspective of receptiveness. They look fine, little dried out and cut very low, putting on them is not bad, I’m not entirely sure of the speed from a stimpmeter, but they are so hard they will not accept approach shots at all. It’s very strange how the ball literally bounces high on even pure shorter irons and will not hold, even with premium spin balls. I was told they have new ownership, and from the looks, the new owners must care about improving by all the ongoing construction. The next time we venture out there, hope the new owners make the greens more receptive and soften them a bit to improve the experience on a hidden gem in the southeast, outside of...
Read moreI would not suggest playing there on the weekends at all. It's not a bad course and in decent shape so early in the season but they send groups of 5-6 out together and stagger tee times about 5-10 minutes apart. Took my brother and I over 5 hours to play 18 holes which should have taken 3 1/2 hours tops when riding a cart. Pace of play was horrible and they did nothing to enforce speeding up the slow groups. Also, our cart wouldn't make it up the hills on the back nine. They wouldn't let us go off the back nine first as well, so we ended up waiting on every shot all day, sometimes with the group ahead and behind with us on the same tee box. Also, they charged my brother $35 and when I went in to pay my fee, the guy said $30 and then saw I had $35 in my hand and quickly blurted out, sorry I meant $35. ...
Read moreFirst off the website says it’s 38$ for 18 with a cart, old man charges me 45$ for a round. I don’t complain because I expected a decent course so I went on my way. Front side was DECENT at best. Back side was god AWFUL. Hole 12 is a par 5 but don’t worry, the entire hole is under construction! You get to play the hole as a 100 yard par 3 without any heads up. 3 par 3’s in a row, including an 18 hole par 3. I didn’t pay 45$ to play a par 3 course. The least they could of done was let us know or cut greens fees down while in construction. Please don’t waste your time, I shot even par 71 and it was the worst golfing experience...
