The Sandwich Stop — Restaurant in Pleasantville

I was at an event a few days ago and the host had wings that were delicious and after inquiry she advised me about The Sandwich Shop. Today my family placed our first order of wings, empanadas, Philly steaks and fries. I am completely disappointed! The fries were hard, stale and tasted like they had been refrigerated for days and like they were dropped in oil again as a means to reheat. The wings were not crispy but soggy and dry. They were not fresh either. I am concerned they are not practicing serve safe food practices which can be dangerous to consumers that trust them to eat here. It is ridiculous that you have to keep bringing your food back because it is not made right. Then the girl at the counter always have an attitude. Like how you say you had the chef fix the order but it’s the same order all they did was take off what should not have been but left evidence to the onions im allergic too. It was no apology given or let me fix this. I just asked for a refund. For prices of food going up, surely going light on the food. Sandwich stop subs use to be packed now it’s very limited in meat but the prices are going up. Sandwich stop is one of my favorite spots but lately been slipping. These are the kinda places I love to find,that perfect little hole in the wall or hidden gem. This place hands down, has some of the Best fried chicken and classic home made side dishes to accommodate it with locally .. simply delicious..Stopped there today and got a cheese steak and fries and once again. I was very impressed ..The roll was packed with meat and most importantly to me is I love fried onions on my cheese steaks and nothing is worth then getting fried onions and having them still white or clear.
