Found a hidden gem in Splendora ✨ It’s called Legacy TexMex BBQ and the food is absolutely AMAZING!!! 🤤🔥 That brisket quesadilla is fully loaded — huge portions for the price! 👏 The owner is one of the nicest people you’ll meet. I got both moist & lean brisket, ribs, and sausage. This is probably the best bbq on the far north side of the Greater Houston area. I stay trying to find hidden gem bbq spots/trucks from small businesses. Some of the other places in the area are hit or miss or do not do everything well. If you’re like me and like your ribs to easily tug off the bone intact but yet still maintain a good tender bite, then go here because the ribs at are of perfect competition bbq texture instead of that soft, squishy, overcooked, oven-baked feeling that other places have. Now it ain’t American wagyu marbled beef or anything extravagant & expensive, but the moist brisket was tender & flavorful 5/5 stars. This place and its prices are for the working man and is a carnivore’s heaven.

This is a hidden gem for sure. We really enjoyed the barbecue here. the loaded baked potato, I tried had brisket and spicy sausage with everything on it, it was so good. My husband tried the Three meat plate with two sides, and I will say my only critique is that the macaroni needed salt or maybe just some flavor but honestly, you’re here for the barbecue. The ribs were perfectly cooked, the brisket was moist and smoky and the spicy sausage was very flavorful. We were the only people here in the afternoon, but I saw a couple people pull up for delivery or pick up.

Just stopped by and ate there with my husband ...had a huge potato with 3 meats ...side of baked beans and a 3 meat plate with Mac and potato salad .... 2 canned sodas and a Mexican Glass drink all for $46 bucks .... And we still had left over which we will probably eat later tonight or tomorrow reheated lol ...it was all very good the rib meat came right off the bone the brisket was juicy and had some fat on it. The sausage was good with great flavor just wish the spicy was a bit spicier. Over all I'd give the place a 4.8/5. The ambiance was great too wide open space and it wasn't to hot either outside today. I'm coming from Houston and Id make the 40 minute trip again if I'm ever craving BBQ. Bruh. I’m about to be out here like 3x a week.

The brisket is phenomenal. The Mac and cheese is delicious. The sausage is tender. The homemade sauce is great. Heck even the tortillas are amazing.

I got the burrito and you can tell this isn’t one of those things where he threw those ingredients together. The way the flavors blended was very clearly an intentional choice.

The owner was the one who served me. He let me try a sample of the brisket and the sauce. He was super friendly and personable.
