El Aguila is our new favorite spot for authentic Mexican food! 😋 We had no idea that this hidden gem was a town over from where we live. Before El Aguila, we were driving to Lakehurst for Mexican food. We ordered the Al Pastor tacos. My husband wanted to try the Barbacoa but they were sold out (we ordered an hour before closing). I had the Chile Relleno and my son had the chicken & cheese Quesadillas. I got a Jamaica agua fresco to drink. Everything was delicious! We were also pleasantly surprised by the prices. Our total order came to $86 which was less than $20 per person (family of 4) and the extras we bought (imported Pepsi & Coke from Mexico, the sour cream from Mexico that we've been trying to find in the States). We will definitely be back for more!👍

Food is good but customer service is NOT. God forbid they make a mistake on a large order. Just spent $120 at this establishment. Ordered 6 burritos 2 tortas & 9 tacos. Called to let them know I was missing a burrito as you can see from the receipt there are SIX burritos and I only got FIVE. She yelled and was very aggressive cutting me off almost every time I spoke stating she didn't make a mistake and she put everything in the bag and I only ordered 5 burritos. So how was I charged for 6 if you say I only ordered 5. Make it make sense 🙄. You can have the little $11 dollars but you lose our business for being ignorant and unprofessional to someone who spent a good chunk of change supporting your business for five years.

It's a good place to find some products from Mexico, the food is alright closes to what you'll find around here, the Horchata is really good we had the pastor tacos, carne asada, Barbacoa, and the Bisteck burrito. The best for us was the pastor, even though the meats are more like Birria style and don't expect the barbacoa tacos to be the authentic barbacoa believe me.... the real barbacoa you will find down on south Texas. This is still a good spot to get some Mexican taquito flavor, give it a try.

I really love this place. Anything that you need to find to make any type of Mexican food is in this place. And the young lady that works there is always so helpful. Their prices are so low. I hate to even say that because I don't want them to raise them. Yeah they are cash only, but if there's something that I think they have in there that I need I'll definitely stop in there first before I'll stop in to the New Egypt Marketplace. You will definitely pay more if you grab it at the marketplace. I just stopped in there on Monday to grab some cotija cheese to make some grilled Mexican street corn for Labor Day. A pound of grated cheese was $5 which is crazy. And it was delicious the corn turned out excellent. A couple of months ago I stopped in and I wanted to get all of the ingredients to make some guacamole unfortunately I waited till the last minute and all of the avocados that they had which by the way we're also dirt cheap weren't ripe enough. The girl that works there actually said don't worry and she went into the kitchen and got me two ripe avocados. I can't believe how nice that was of her to do. I mean where are you going to go and they're going to do something like that for you? Anyhow the guacamole turned out great she saved the day! Highly recommend stopping in and taking a look around just bring cash with you. Oh and by the way my son and myself have both gotten take out from this place a few times the food is really delicious it's very good. With that being said even though everything else in the store is extremely inexpensive I do feel as though the food that they prepare for you for takeout is a little high-priced. It's also very clean. I will definitely...

I love Mexican food. Ask my wife... she’ll even tell you I should have married a Mexican/Hispanic woman

I was going to take photos but when I opened up my food box, let’s just say there wasn’t any time for photos, not unless you guys want to see my empty food box.

I got the verdes enchiladas, because I can never find a place that does enchiladas, but you can also buy individual tacos. So I also got a steak taco to try.

The enchilada entree was delicious. The taco too.

I live a town away, and took my dog for a walk and been wanting to try this place and finally did, safe to say, I will be back.

I also bought a tray of pastries. Authentic pastries. Not sure what some of them are but I know they will be delicious as well.

There is no seating inside. There is a patio outside with about 6 tables. You could take a date. Or take out or pick up or for lunch during the week.

There is a parking lot. And also a store attached that sells fruit and vegetables from Mexico.

Cash only, but...

This place is a hidden gem. The shop itself is very nice and warm and offers a lot of Mexican groceries, but the food is so authentic. There are a lot of my Mexican friends say it tastes exactly like house cooked Mexican food. They have a pretty good menu for all different pallets, a lot of vegetarian options, and their tacos are the best. They have the shepherd tacos (al pastos) that I have had while I was in Mexico and I have to say these tasted even better than those back in Cancun, I'm guessing that's because the ones in Cancun were more targeted woods tourists and not the locals.

Keep in mind that this place only accept cash but if you forget then there are a few ATMs nearby including one at CVS pharmacy across the street and one at Wawa.

I would highly recommend this restaurant two people who are looking to try authentic Mexican food and get a good feel of what home cooked mexican...
