Please read. I’ll be brief. I believe there are three things that make a dinner out enjoyable. Quality of the food, service and atmosphere. The food is wonderful. I made sure to go back to the kitchen to thank the staff for their great preparation. Our server was great! Always attentive and we tipped him well. Then the atmosphere. When my wife and I arrived, the 14 year old at the hostess desk-in jeans and Keds sneakers (not appropriate dress for a nice restaurant) shoved us in a back corner with a fabulous view of the kitchen and back of house. We asked to be moved to one of the three open 2 tops in the front of the restaurant and she said no. I guess those were saved for someone?? I let it go and we enjoyed our meal. As we left I saw that no one had been seated in the front of the restaurant where the tables were more open and less crammed together, including the tables we asked to be moved to. There was no manager there so the 14 year old changed our review from 5 stars to 2. We will not be back. My hope is that the owner/manager will see our comments and make some changes. Don’t have a 14 year old in charge of one of the most important aspect of a...
Read moreOne of the absolute worst dining experiences ever, and I eat out several times a week. On July 26th, we had reservations for a birthday celebration. Our reservation was for a party of 4, we were seated at a table for three. We waited overly long for our server to appear only to discover it was the person that seated us incorrectly. We remarked that the table next to us that was seated well after us already had bread and appetizers and asked for some bread. The serve said we were insulting and rude! (I assure you, we were neither. We remarked politely.) He then informed us he was the manager and knew how to run the restaurant. Not wanting to create a scene nor further spoil what was supposed to be a special occasion, we just ordered our meals. The manager then ghosted us until it came time to pay. I made the horrific mistake of ordering the chicken parm. It had the appearance and taste of a Frisbee. It was clearly a frozen, processed chicken patty. The other 3 meals were better, yet nothing to rave about. Our appetizers were very good. We found the wait staff to be, with one exception, surly and unsmiling. I wish I could give...
Read moreWasn't going to write a review as I normally just leave bad enough alone, but we brought a group of 20 in for a graduation dinner and had 3 options to choose from. One was the the chicken parm and if I could give negative stars I would. It was clearly frozen and reheated with odd, very cold and congealed mozzarella on top. Each chicken dish was uniform and the exact same shape, clearly indicating that this was frozen and processed. Of the 20 people, about 8-9 got the chicken dish and every single person did not eat. We ended up just passing around the other dishes which were meh at best. Pasta was not fresh. One of our guests had another event planned and after this experience called to cancel. She was told she was wrong, that the chicken was handmade (no way) and that no one ever complains and would not refund her $50 deposit. On top, this place is expensive, which I am fine with if the dining is fresh and upscale, but hard to justify $35/45+ a meal that was in part uneatable and the other 'ok' dishes were reheated and not fresh. Proceed as you will,...
