The Biscuit Lady — Restaurant in Plymouth Township

There's a breakfast spot that's the new talk of the town and it's called The Biscuit Lady. We sampled several items during their grand opening weekend and it was a breakfast bonanza.

First up, we tried the "Don't Go Bacon My Heart." This dish is a love letter to breakfast sandwiches everywhere. Picture a beef burger patty topped with house-made jalapeño pimento cheese spread, a mountain of crispy bacon, and an over-easy egg between a giant biscuit. Every bite was a symphony of flavors that had my taste buds singing. The spice from the pimento cheese spread was perfectly balanced by the richness of the beef and bacon. It's a breakfast that truly warms the heart.

Next on the menu was The Stella, a hearty delight featuring ribeye, egg, Cooper sharp cheese, and fried onions. This sandwich is a breakfast of champions, with tender ribeye and melty cheese creating a mouthwatering experience. The fried onions added a perfect crunch that tied everything together. It's like a Philly Cheesesteak wrapped in a glorious biscuit.

The Patty is another standout. An extra-large buttermilk biscuit cradling a sausage patty, egg, and American cheese. This classic combo was executed flawlessly, with the biscuit providing the perfect vessel for the savory fillings. It's a comforting, no-fuss breakfast that hits all the right notes.

As for the sweet side, we couldn't resist trying a couple of the "Holy Biscuits." These fried biscuit dough treats, shaped like donuts and dusted in sugar, were a sweet way to end the meal. While they were a bit on the dry side for my taste, they still had good flavor. A little more moisture would have made them perfect, but they were a delightful treat nonetheless.

Overall, The Biscuit Lady has quickly become one of my new favorite breakfast spots. With a menu that offers both savory and sweet delights, it's a place where everyone can find...

I came in prepared to wait. I know the line tends to go out the door, so I promise I’m not just complaining for the sake of complaining.

We waited in line for maybe 20-ish minutes, got our number (for 2 sandwiches and a hash brown) and took a seat. I was solo with my 22 month old, but the timing was great for before her nap. We waited and waited and waited and waited. Luckily I had gotten a sweet biscuit (which is given to you right away) so she had something to eat. I saw person after person (who had ordered after me) receive their food.

Eventually, after waiting for 45-50 minutes (like I said, I was fully prepared to wait—I’m not a complainer when I go out to eat!), I went up to the register and asked to switch my order to “To Go.” I stand by the register where people are waiting and wait another 5-10 minutes. More people there after me receive their To Go meals. A girl eventually asks me the name that went with my order (thank you for being attentive and realizing I had been there long enough to check in!). Finally, I’m given a To Go bag and I can get out of there.

I am certain my order was just plain forgotten and I likely would’ve been there far longer if I hadn’t gotten up to get my food To Go. The girl who ended up helping me was very sweet and apologetic. Because of this delay though, it took me an hour to get my baby to sleep once we got home because she was so overtired (sounds unrelated but if you have a child who takes naps, maybe you understand my struggle and how this definitely does relate).

AND they forgot my hash brown! So all that wait and I still didn’t even get my full order. I know this kind of thing happens sometimes, but the amount of employees that saw me sitting there for over an hour and never said anything to me, when I was trying to entertain a sleepy toddler, was wild.

After seeing The Biscuit Lady featured on Good Day Philly, I’ve been dreaming of their biscuits! 😂 At long last, I took the grand journey from RoFo down to Plymouth Meeting today. Before beginning my trek, I phoned in my order. (I had read previous reviews that there is sometimes a wait.) The girl who took my order over the phone was sweet, patient, nice! 😊 When I got there, it was near closing time, so it was pretty empty. I saw maybe two other customers. Loved the cute, cozy, eclectic decor ! The girl who rang me up was professional but not super friendly. Definitely not rude, but not super welcoming either. Maybe she was feeling the stress of the holidays. *Also please note if you order take away, they do not give you utensils. Anyway, the most important part: the food review! All the glowing posts I’ve seen, I pretty much can confirm for this particular experience! I got the Uptown Girl and the biscuits and gravy. The Uptown Girl is a deliciously sloppy marriage of sweet and savory. Filled with plenty of perfectly crispy bacon slathered in yummy peanut butter and a sweet, punchy strawberry jam+an egg! Wow! Pure magic!! 🤣 Oh, and I almost left out the best part! Buttery, pillowy, hugging my tummy biscuits! These little gems were equally wonderful with the sausage gravy.
