Morris Family Restaurant- Nanticoke — Restaurant in Plymouth Township

There's no doubt that I include myself among the group of people that like discovering diners or restaurants that serve a good quality breakfast. To that end, someone recommended that I try The Morris Family Restaurant in Nanticoke, PA.

My first visit was a few years ago after a morning full of shoveling snow, and I've been a regular since. I typically order the #6 breakfast, which includes 2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, home fries (with peppers and onions, if desired) and toast (or English muffin). Every time it's been great. I'm not a huge fan of pancakes, but I have had them here, and they are excellent. Their soups are fantastic, too. Cheesy burger, shrimp corn chowder and piggy stew are my favorites.

My gram and I were there yesterday 08-05-2018 we have never had such bad service. Our waitress came took our order. Brought it out never came back and asked if we needed refills or if everything was ok. And never brought or rolls. That were supposed to come with our meal. She did bring us our bill though when we left to pay I was asked if everything was ok I said no and told her our problems the girl at register laughed at us like it was funny we will never be back. Wonderful family-style diner/restaurant. Breakfast was fantastic all around. Service was fast and friendly. Deceiving amount of room inside. If you stop by to eat on a weekend morning, plan to park on the street and navigate a crowd in the narrow hallways as the volume of customers shows this is clearly a local favorite and for good reason. Was only here for breakfast, but given the abysmal diner-style offerings in nearby Plymouth, this is easily the best diner-style breakfast spot between Kingston and Schickshinny on the west-side of the river and I will definitely make this my spot when going out...
