STARS : 3 - overall ATMOSPHERE - a typical homegrown Mexican restaurant decor. Local place with a few scattered tchotchkes, and some expected central American colors mixed in. Even when busier (50-60% full), not too loud. Family friendly for all ages, but not a playground. FOOD - menu options are varied with something to pretty much please any Mexican-style craving. Chips/Salsa served upon being seated are basically flavorless room temperature lo-salt bulk chips, and salsa is a macerated tomato mix with little spiciness or flavor (think of bland salsa without even a cilantro kick). I was immediately offered, I assume to be the 'upsell' of, some nacho sauce or some specialty ranch dip. 2-STARS on this. Warming the chips would be a good improvement. Better salsa? Immeasurable. Entrée: "Taste of Hacienda" (see photo) Respectably warm+/temp when delivered. [By far not HOT requiring the use of the oven pads used by the server.]. The flavor was an expected "good", but nothing to write home about. Ingredients - especially for the salad portion of the entrée plate - were fresh, and everything seemed to have been made fresh for the plate; the burrito, the chimichanga, and the salad. Overall it really was "good", but not 'authentic Mexican' GREAT. 4-STARS SERVER - This one is a mixed bag. First impression was darn good. Friendliness and attentiveness were pretty spot on. Drink (diet Coke) was kept refilled. Food delivered within a reasonable having-ordered time frame, etc. Even checked back in after a few bites-time-frame to see if everything was OK. All was going so well. But nothing turns me off faster or sours an experience than being rushed. I've yet to finish the burrito, and the salad hasn't been touched... Then questioned "Would you like churos for dessert or your bill? " - type of statement. Perhaps let me finish my entrée first??? (I'm sitting in one of six booths I can directly SEE INTO. Two empty booths that have yet to be cleaned for the next guests... But my bill is more important in the middle of eating?) When the 2nd attempt to sell me dessert or a bill, I'm 2 bites into the salad with less than 5 minutes from the last time I was asked. They'd obviously rather have the table empty than a satisfying experience for the customer who has been able to enjoy their meal. It started out so well.... Then crashed and BURNED. Lost positive interaction, and lost additional dessert and coffee sales. 2.5-STARS PRICE - at time of review Entrée : $12.99 Soda : $2.99 Total incl tax : $17.10

It gets two stars because of good service and clean place. But that's it. There isn't a mexican thing about it. Well maybe the "theme" but that's all. Very disappointed. I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas. I received a hot plate full of onions and 4 small steak strips and some flavorless shrimp. No seasoning, the rice, oh my god, they can't even make their own rice!!!! This so called rice they serve you is exactly what you get from a Goya box (mexican rice) at walmart, just unbelievable. Their guac was extremely salty and definitely not fresh. The lettuce, lol, another thing they can't even do themselves. They serve you the shredded lettuce you buy pre-packaged at the grocery store, NO JOKE! (Wasnt fresh either). The refried beans were okay, not sure if it was out of a can also. And as a few reviews said below, the salsa is just a can of tomato puree they opened up and dumped some chopped onions and peppers in it. Seriously how do these people stay in business?

This was the worst experience. Went in & ordered food to go. Paid for food & gave a $5 tip. Told my order would be ready in 20-25 mins. Went back to the car to wait. Came back in at 20 mins & was told they were taking it out now. It'll be a few more mins. No problem. At 30 mins was told again that it was coming out & she was going to check on it. At 35 mins was told they were checking with the manager. The food was ready, they were just trying to straighten something out. Now nearly all the servers were in the kitchen. I could see them through the windows on the kitchen doors. I asked the hostess to get me the manager because I now just wanted to cancel my order & get my money back. She went to get the manager & told me she'd be right out. Still no manager at 40 mins. Now I asked the hostess again where the manager was. She then snapped at me with a raised voice, saying 'Ma'am, I can't cancel your order. They're pulling your order now. You'll have to wait for the manager. She's coming out now.' Finally the manager came up to me. I told her I wanted to cancel my order and get my money back because it's been over 40 mins. She reied that she checked my ticket and it was just now only at 20 mins drop the order time. I pulled out my copy of the receipt and showed her the time stamp of 7:30pm. She looked at the time and it was now 8:15pm. She said she was working on getting my order and it was coming out. Told her again I no longer wanted it and she could nownwork on giving me back my money. She finally agreed and started then process of giving me back my money. I could tell how upset she was by the way she kept swiping her card on the register. While she was doing this the original order taker finally brought out my order. Over 45mins later. This was so disappointing. I really had my heart set on that food. And I must admit the other orders I saw did smell and look good. But their lying several times and customer service left much to be desired. Lost a customer on my first visit and...

please don't waste your time and money eating here. Party of 8 . They sat us in the party room. Party room was dirty, tables were dirty and had sandals on them. We sat for awhile waiting for at least some waters and someone to take our drinking orderes since our mouths were burning from the chips and salsa. Waitress finally comes and takes our order ( Michelle) we ask her couple of questions and she seemed to not know anything about the menu. We finally ordered food and let me tell you, worse flaw of food. I ordered the chimichanga with steak. Came back so burnt and crispy, steak was dry and burned. She was nice to exchange my whole meal for another. While waiting my son still has not got his taco meal. Waiting and waiting I finally got my new meal. I ordered tacos. It was ok. My son still has not got his meal. So I was thinking she forgot to put it in. She didn't check on us and didn't refill any drinks. We had to call her multiple times for things we needed. I will never ever come here again. This is not a Mexican restaurant, I don't know what it is and servers definitely need some more training or please hire Mexicans who know...
