I didn't take any pictures even though I should have. To start out I didn't even get a chance to order my son a drink. As soon as the waiter was done taking our orders he just walked away. When I first tried to order my drink and I said skip me, because I didn't know what I wanted yet. He looked at me confused which is fine but how he spoked and looked at us was not very kind. Then when we ordered and our food came out (There was 5 adults and 2 kids -1 is in a carseat) All the adults got their food first and my childs food was last. Then when my husband got his he asked if it was a double and the waiter knew it was a double, because he asked if we wanted 2 and my husband said yes. They only came out with one order and my husband asks am I really paying 31.50 for 2 orders of rice and beans and one order of the seafood fajita. They said no and the manager told him to go make another. I ordered a shrimp quesdilla with steak and usually that is a full plate with a giant tortilla on it, but this time I got a small 1 tortilla quesadilla and I was supposed to have guac, tomatoes, sour cream, rice, and beans, all I got was rice and beans. There was no flavor to some of our tables food and then as I was eating my beans I bit into something really hot and it burnt my mouth so bad. It was so spicy, I tried drinking half of my drink hoping the pain would stop but It didn't so then I had tried water and finally the pain went away but my throat was burning and I couldn't feel my cheek. After that when we were done we asked for boxes and then the guy left, the manager and 2 other waiters (including ours who is supposed to get the boxes) were just standing there laughing and looking at our table. Not doing absolutely anything. We sat there for 5 minutes or longer waiting on boxes just because they wanted to have a joke fest. Weekends there suck and they just don't care about their work it seems like. This was not our first weekend that we...
Read moreWent two days in a row both a Friday and Saturday night. Friday service was great and food was good. Really cold every time the door opened and a pretty plain looking place doesn't say Mexican place to me. Saturday night service was at very best ok, but food tasted AMAZING and once we were able to order, back to service, but after we ordered food came out quickly. Still just as cold sitting in dining room every time door opened and was loud by a group by us so wasn't easy to carry on a conversation. But all in all I do recommend this place just wish the two days mirrored each other.IF they had a way to keep dining room warmer each time door is opened and maybe more decoration, I don't blame them for the loud group, but if those two things were different I think my atmosphere score would be a lot different but as long as they get the food right we will...
Read moreEl Amigo is a new restaurant in the town of Pocahontas; a quaint, close-knit community. Tonight I had the pleasure of dining at this new establishment and was very satisfied with my meal. The steak street tacos I ate were perfectly made and the rice and beans were phenomenal. We even asked for extra hot sauce and they did not disappoint with their delicious habanero sauce. Their chips and salsa were fresh and a great start to the meal. I recommend this place to anyone passing through they deliver on quality...
