El Potrillo — Restaurant in Ponca City

Placed order at 6pm online. Showed up to get at 6:30. Not ready. He asked what I ordered and rang me up. I though weird but I just figured he did not want to go get the check from the kitchen or whatever. I stood there for 20 more minutes and they brought out one sack and said they were waiting on 2 tacos....10 minutes later they bring out the rest of my order. I told him I called this in at 6 and showed the online receipt. He said his tablet was not charged. I'm like and... Basically they never got my line order and when he asked what I had ordered he was putting it in for the first time.

Never once said why I was waiting or they he never got my order. He just asked like no big deal. We ordered online so we would not have to wait and hour.

It's 7 and I have my food... I have what I told him. Not what was actually ordered online.

Just admit your mistake... Just ta Rll me when I showed up that the order did not go in.... anything...

He offered a free meal next time... Had not been there in a year and won't be back. If you want horrible service he said...

Very good food, an ample serving sizes. Prices are quite reasonable. In our travels throughout the country we make it a point of stopping at local Mexican restaurants to try their chicken fajitas, which is what we have at least once a week back at our local watering hole in Greensboro North Carolina. Even though we have never yet found fajitas as good as the fajitas we get at La Hacienda restaurant in Greensboro, I have to admit this restaurant came darn close. The only drawback that we found was that the fajitas were on the dry side they need to be grilled in some oil along with the grilled onions. We thought the salsa was very good: not too sweet and not too spicy. The pico de gallo was very good compared to some we’ve tasted. It had a good blend of onions tomatoes and cilantro and and spices. I would recommend, though, that they make it a little bit farther in advance and let it let it rest a little bit in the pot and blend the flavors together a little bit better. Food was alright, place was fairly clean but the wait staff service fell way short of desirable. He took my order, brought the chips and drink. Didn't see him again until I had to ask for my check...someone other than my waiter brought my food and noticed my drink was empty but no one brought any refill, had to eat my entire dinner with nothing to drink. After finishing my meal I waited for the check for about 10 minutes before pushing the dirty dishes across the table but still waited 10 more minutes before walking to the register and told the cashier where I was sitting. Only then did the waiter bring my check...no thank you or inquiries if things were alright. I usually tip between 30 and 40% of the check but that waiter did not get one cent from me and I will only return to the Blackwell location from now on. The Ponca City location has seen...
