Their carnitas and asada tacos with onions, jalapenos pepper, slices of radish and lemon and let's not forget the rice beans was so delicious was really authentic real Mexican tacos taste was amazing I was hungry and it tasted so good that I forgot to take a picture also had michelada which was very refreshing and it went well with the tacos definitely I will be coming back and we'll take a picture. Our server took care of of us well. Update 5/30/23......Food was delicious as always except the service was undesirable, very disrespectful and discriminating. Waiter didn't tell us that the tip was included in the check even as we we're checking out and left $10 tip of $72 bill with 20% came out to $83 and upon looking closely to the bill the waiter had charge 2 virgin daiquiris as margaritas each was supposed to be $4 instead of $9.99...told to the young lady checking us out and didn't change it to the correct price so now instead of paying 72 it was 71... -_- seriously... I was irritated by then on the lack of care so she charges the card with the tip and I question why if I left $10 on the table and another waiter that was helping the young lady says because mostly MEXICANS leave with leaving a tip so they have included on the bill and my response was then I should be glad I am not Mexican......it's unreal that most waiters/waitress working are there Mexican or Latinos and are been racist to their on race........just because I look Latina they would automatically think I am Mexican and decide to charge the tip.....I know some restaurants do that but I been there so many times and I know for a fact they didn't do that so for them to change their ways it's fine but waiter/ they should at least say something and most of all should not be making racial comments like that. Love the food but that behavior cross the line..very disrespectful all the way around....I will not...
Read moreMy family and I were looking for a Mexican restaurant to eat dinner. We looked on Google for a higher related restaurant and El Toro came up with decent ratings. Well, it was not what we hoped for and I wanted to share our experience.
We arrived on the early end of dinner at about 5pm. It was not busy and were seated right away. The decor of the restaurant was great, very colorful, and it was laid out nice with a central bar and seating around it, plus two other sections.
We were brought chips and salsa right away. Our waitress greeted us reasonably quickly. We got water to begin with while we looked through their extensive menu. My son ordered the chicken nuggets and fries. I was not expecting anything extravagant as it was not a mexican dish and indeed they were the Dino nuggets with some of the thicker cut, very potato-y fries. I ordered a stir fry burrito that was pretty good. There was cheese sauce on top and a filled flour tortilla will steak. It was nothing special, but it satisfied my hunger.
Unfortunately, my husband's experience was horrible. He ordered the combination plate #1 that consisted of a taco and cheese enchilada, plus an ala carte tamale and a beer. The taco was not bad and was described to me as "better than the best Taco Bell taco," if you can picture that. The chicken tamale was almost void of chicken consisting almost entirely of corn meal. Then there was the cheese enchilada, first we asked for the sauce on the side which it was not. Then my husband took one bite of the cheese enchilada. It was filled with a weird glue like substance that coated my mouth, not real cheese. It was unedible and absolutely disgusting.
We expressed our dissatisfaction to our waitress and she just walked away, returned with our bill without saying anything more. No apology, no "let me get my manager", nothing. It was very...
