What do you get when you mix a little piece of Mexico with a small East-coast city like Pooler, GA? Flacos Tacos! This is the best Mexican food that I have had on the east coast! The food is fresh, delicious and you can tell it is made from scratch! It is a small restaurant with picnic bench seating, and you almost feel like you are in Mexico. The owner, Flaco, served us and is a very nice guy who is very passionate about serving good Mexican food. He said he used to live in California, and had owned restaurants there (this isn’t his first venture). Go for the Flaco’s Special on your first visit. You get four tacos and a drink for $10, which allows you to try all four flavors of meat: chicken, beef, pork and marinated pork (my favorite). Meat is tender. Served in soft corn tortillas that taste like they were made fresh. For other options, the quesadilla was large, and stuffed with LOTS of cheese. It was really good, but be ready for a heavy cheesy dish. Vegetarians beware, the salad is for meat lovers. I posted a pic, and you would never guess it was salad given the big pile of meat that hides the lettuce. All of the meat selections were super tender and savory as can be, but the marinated pork is the winner for me. They also serve house-made Hibiscus sweat tea, which was surprising concentrated and tart, and what I will probably get again next time (think cranberry juice). They also server other authentic Mexican beverages (including Mexican bottled sodas). Its location is a bit off the main drag of Pooler, but it is not a big town, and it’s worth the visit (again and again). There is not a lot of seating, but they do serve as takeout if you want to eat it at home or somewhere else. However, I recommend eating at a table if available for the...

It’s alright. I’m Mexican. My father from Mexico and my mom born in Texas, as I. & I’ve been looking for some tacos like my mom Makes or like I can get from Texas, even Florida has great Mexican places. & you know what my chicken tacos deff not all that great. Carne asada looked like mush almost like ground beef & they charge 3 yes THREE dollars for one carne asada taco. The other are 2.50. I couldn’t believe it, maybe because authentic tacos are hard to come by around here. Sadly they didn’t meet expectations. They are good and get the job done. But don’t taste like Good ole Texas tacos or from grandmas kitchen. And my chicken is cut up chicken breast ? What lol. Not shredded? Well my search is still on, trying to find some authentic tacos like from a good ole taco truck ! & usually already dressed tacos come with cilantro and onions and what not but they put BOTH red AND GREEN salsa on my tacos. What ????????? Where they do that at ? Not worth the hype. Atleast not this location and the prices are too high. Wait let me correct that, the prices are too high for me. Being Mexican and coming from Mexico and Texas and all that, it’s crazy. Go to Texas, Florida even Louisiana and you don’t pay that...

I jist had the worst experience at this resturant and that's sad because im a "REGULAR" as the woman at the counter put it...I ordered over the phone and when I got up there my total was different than what the ticket said...they were having a system issue that would not allow me to pay so she rang me and when I asked about the difference she told me I was a "regular" and that she had a line and needed to get on with her life! She said its a dollar differnece which was not true... my total was 39$ she charged me 43$!! Then she proceeded to say "like cmon its a dollar" in front of a line full of people as if im broke...I spend atleast 40 dollars everytime I eat there! She said she would give me a drink and just gave me something im not even sure what it is...i am extremely unhappy and will not be returning to such an establishment due to this woman at the register! I come every week sometimes twice and spend 40$ minimum but the service is received today for cold food is unacceptable I recommend nobody to come to this location and maybe try somewhere else...she was distasteful and rude and id rather spend hundreds if not thousands elsewhere im disappointed because I was like she said a "REGULAR" ...

Look here folks, there's a reason that on any given lunch day, there's a line of people gleefully waiting to place their order. The food is delicious. The burritos are the largest I've ever seen. The tacos are quite tasty. But my favorite item here is the pastor quesadilla. Get it "flacos style". Order their special corn; it's hot and delicious. I believe that it's mayo and Mexican chili powder slathered on it. Heck, when you gotta use the word "slathered", then you know it's gotta be good. Get you a Mexican coke and grab a spot at one of the outside benches and chow down. The place is unpretentious and the people runnin' the joint are super nice. While you're at it, go ahead and a little spice to your life... eat that hot pepper whole. You know you want to. It's just sittin' there next to your meal calling your name. Do it. Man up and go for it.

Food was good, but something was off from the last time I had their food. I was disappointed in the way my Birria taco looked and tasted. I didn't even take a picture lol. I seen other reviews recommending it with photos but the version I received was not grilled like those pictured. I would not recommend that item. If I were you, try Flacos special and choose tacos and a drink. You can mix and match your meats. I also tried for the first time their chinichanga which were okay. They ran out of chicken so I had to go with beef. Not my fav but now I can say I've had it. #TiaTriedIt

Stopped here on the way down to Savannah to eat before the bars, it was easily the best part of the night! I've struggled to find great Sopes, until I visited here, you've gotta go flaco style! After leaving Savannah the next day, I mentioned we should go back for quick bite. Little to my surprise, my crew didn't hesitant a second as they were thinking the same, a true sign of excellence! I had a cheesy grilled birria taco with consumé and salsa & chips. I finished the taco before realizing, and finished the remaining consumé with the chips. I can't wait to go back!
