McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Poplar Bluff

First of all, very good food and generous portions. Visited the new P. B. business at 7:15 pm on Sunday Oct. 13th. The young man that took my order was very courteous and did a great job. It went downhill in a hurry. No roast beef (one of their signature items and they “run out”) REALLY. Substituted turkey, very good. Two young ladies got into an argument over who was going to have to fill the gallon container of tea. After just two attempts one of them finally got the mixture correct, then she thought it necessary to wait several minutes for the meager amount of foam to settle in the neck of the jug. Then the placement of a sticker(?) on the jug created a tremendous quandary for her. I interrupted and opted for no sticker. Finally got the “take out” order home and was not surprised to find the potato salad missing. I usually don’t complain but in this case determined that it was absolutely necessary. I called the manager by phone and she was very interested , apologetic and assured me that the situation would be rectified. Ordered my food online, came in to pick it up around 3pm. NORMALLY I never have any issues regarding picking up my orders. But the cooks simply didn’t care. As I was checking out I realized my “bowl” of soup was actually a cup. The girl took my receipt and showed it to the expo guy on the cook line , and he laughed and said “guess I’ll have to just eat this mistake myself”. I left to realize my sandwich I asked for jalapeños on didn’t have any on at all, also was very sloppy put together. I came back and had told them the mistake, but had to show my receipt off my phone since they kept my receipt before. The guy also made another comment about his mistake and laughed again.. then finally when I thought everything was right, I realized I didn’t even get a pickle.
