Regrettably, I found myself compelled to recount a recent late-night escapade to a local McDonald's, an experience that was nothing short of a calamity from inception to conclusion. It is with great disappointment that I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction through this review, in an effort to caution potential patrons against subjecting themselves to a similar ordeal.
Initially, I bore witness to a disconcerting sightâapproximately five individuals preceding me at the drive-thru, their orders being promptly recorded through the menu system. However, as I reached the drive-thru menu, a sudden proclamation echoed through the speaker, declaring that orders were now exclusively being taken at the window. An unexpected turn of events, to say the least.
A gentleman, presumably an employee, was summoned to address my order. To facilitate matters, I presented a concise written record of my desires: two McChicken sandwiches, two McDouble burgers, and a modest serving of fries. Curiously, a debate ensued regarding the prospect of optimizing my selection through the creation of discounted combos. My efforts to simplify the ordeal by affirming my adherence to the illustrious "value menu" were met with an air of bewilderment from the gentleman, who seemingly remained oblivious to this very concept moments after I had explicitly referenced it.
Persistently asserting that no such value menu existed, he eventually coerced me into relinquishing control over my order, permitting him to mold it according to his own whims. With a lackadaisical approach, he proceeded to solicit an exorbitant sum of sixteen dollars without the courtesy of providing a receipt as testament to the transaction.
To my dismay, the final outcome deviated egregiously from my original intent. Instead of the requested two McChicken sandwiches and two McDouble burgers, I was bestowed with an overabundance of four McDouble burgers. While human fallibility is an inescapable facet of existence, the indicators of a subpar experience were unmistakable from the outset.
I implore those with a modicum of prudence to exercise caution when placing an order at the initial drive-thru window. Should your payment be collected before the entry of your order into the system, it is prudent to regard such a practice with skepticism, as it may very well be indicative of a deceitful scheme.
It is my fervent hope that my unfortunate encounter serves as a cautionary tale, discouraging prospective visitors from subjecting themselves to the perplexing incongruities and disarray that marred my evening at this particular McDonald's establishment. In lieu of this disheartening experience, I beseech you to explore alternative culinary options that are more inclined to bestow satisfaction upon discerning palates, thereby sparing oneself from unnecessary disappointment...
Read moreDriving through Poplar Bluff stopped at McDonalds. Drive through line was long at 2:00pm possibly a shift change in local workforce. Since so long we park and go inside. As soon as we come in everyone behind the counter seemed disinterested that we were there and no one seemed to be responsible for any of the registers. No line inside I slowly start walking up to counter hoping one of them would guide me to what registrar was open. That didnât really happen as a girl who clearly was having a bad day strongly stated she was thinking about quieting and didnât care who knew. She continues to complain to the young guy who finally turned around and was âsurprisedâ that we were at his register even though I know he saw us walk in. Truly I donât expect a lot from fast food establishments. 1. Intentional Hospitality 2. Clean 3. Kindness ... ALL three of these things are completely capable from all people. This could be an off day for the young people I encountered, everyone has one of those days. I actually got over it when I left with my food thinking I understand frustration when you feel undervalued or overworked. Whether their feelings were valid or not (mostly the young girl) they still have a right to feel it. I get it. I got over the fact I as a costumer didnât feel valued when ordering my food, feeling this isnât a big deal and only temporary. I get to my car feeling a bit sorry for the girl. Driving down the road I eat my hot fries that I am thankful for when in all likelihood could have been burnt or cold. Then I reach for my quarter pounder .... sadly I was given a McDouble. BOOOOO!!! 4. I expect to receive exactly...
Read moreOrdered got drinks quickly, took over twenty minutes then customers became agitated and a worker made things worse by telling people to be patient, another worker had to call him off the customers, I suggest the firing of such worker he was a colored gentleman with a head full of dreadlocks, he needs a reprimand and some time off or loss of job there was no excuses for his mouth towards customers who had been waiting for several minutes while the drive thru was being waited on in a timely manner but the customers inside had to wait until a customers had waited long periods of time for there food. Oh and by the way I got my order to go and the burger was cold and the cheese was not melted, had to microwave it at home. But service and product was bad coming out of this McDonald's poplar bluff, corner of 53&142 the time was approx four p.m. please fix young man's attitude before I return and if he is there I expect a apology in person for his actions and words both were unwanted and unnecessary at the time only made problem worse. Wish I knew his name but he is unmistakable with...
