Zab's - Smash Burgers and Chicken — Restaurant in Poplar Bluff

Ok, so I was looking for a good burger n fries cause I didn't want the run of the mill, u know the king, or Donald's, or the Soni, THEN I found this place and WOW!!!! I moved from Florida where I rated restaurant food. I was known as the "UNDERTAKER" y, you ask? Cause if food is so dang good. I always say "ITS TO DIE FOR" CALL THE UNDERTAKER ! So. Best burger anywhere. My go to place from now on. If u live in town or at the lake or anywhere you can fly like the crow does, stop into ZABS! If ur traveling from out of town, their located on Westwood across from Home Depot behind the Mexican restaurant. I told them they should put the word ,"Smashburger" on top of front entrance. I dont think anyone knows wat Zab is otherwise. The fries. Unlike any kind I ever had. I been around nearly 70 years so I should know. The Smash burger, well, "CALL THE UNDERTAKER " cause it's to die for. Loaded anyway u like lIke it. I got the double cheese, tomato, mayo, onions and pickle all on buttered grill buns. Don't 4get the pickle! Omg!!! Wow! Can't wait to go back. Prices are all reasonable, Staff is like very, very friendly and my kind of people, down south kinda people where they treat u like guest! Very clean restaurant! 10 out of 10!!! Being your friends...

Before driving through Poplar Bluff, I researched restaurants and always enjoy a tasty burger. Zab's burger was a true tasty treat. When a burger makes my hands messy, that's a good sign, and the Oklahoma burger was a delicious mess! The burger was nicely done, toppings made it flavorful, the soft, buttery bun was great, too! I'm eager for my next time traveling through to try another. When I arrived, the cook was on a quick break, but quickly set about preparing my cheeseburger and fries. I honestly was disappointed as the fries tasted like steak fries (thick potato cuts, if you like that). Not bad, just not my preference,...but the burger was one to keep me returning for more. The very best burgers in POPLAR BLUFF , , the "junkyard burger " is so good , well worth the price , and my grandchildren love the burgers and the chicken nuggets !! They said they are the best chicken nuggets in town !! Also the fried cauliflower , , yum , they have a hint of cheese inside !! The service is really nice , dining inside is like down home , small , but comfortable !! And the owner , Vickie is a down to earth lady with southern charm !! And the desserts are like Grandma's cooking !! Thank you Vicky for bringing the best burgers to POPLAR BLUFF...
