Days On The Lake — Restaurant in Port Austin Township

New owner, no experience in service industry is my guess. Has a "I don't care what anyone else thinks attitude" They still offer "cook your catch" but they close at 9pm so if you get in from your charter at 8, you're not getting it cooked because everyone out by 9 promptly. While eating at the bar a customer came up to order a beer at 8:30, the owner told him she'd be with him in a minute as she continued to wash a few wine glasses (no new people coming in or drinking wine) did a couple other things, then after 4 minutes of this guy waiting with cash in hand, finally got him his beer. Only reason I give it 2 stars is because the food was decent. Best advice is go to this place to check it out for when it goes under you can buy it cheap, change the name to something that fits a bar on a fishing port, cater to the people who bring people into the village, stay open late enough for people to relax for the evening and treat people with honest appreciation for gracing your establishment, and...

We recently ate at this restaurant. What a disappointment. The view was nothing like the description. Based on reviews, we thought we'd stop here. Either people have low standards or just accept poor quality, in both food and views. Our meal was mediocre, tasted like everything was fried in the same grease as their fish. The fries were limp and gross. The patio, with a whole four tables was filthy. This place was a challenge, waited for over an hour for our meal. If you sit on the patio, you have to deal with the dirt road dust. The view is a joke, can barely see the lake, just a dinky marina for the neighboring trailer park. Save your money, go elsewhere. We had a party of 4 and had to consistently ask our waitress for refills. The entire experience was poor. I read other reviews and noticed that the owner responds inappropriately. Food; Bread dry, meat to salty, portions vs. Price=TINY. Waitress clueless about anything. Deck a joke, views laughable.
