Pizza City — Restaurant in Port Orange

UPDATE: The last 2 visits we had here were absolutely terrible! They have finally lost our couple times a week business for good! This last visit was the final straw however and deserves a 0 star rating. We placed our carryout order with the girl at the counter who tried to rush us through our order with an attitude of "I don't want to be here and don't care what you want really" and said (not in the normal friendly way but more like we were annoying her because she rather be doing something else instead of taking an order) to us stuff like "that it" or "anything else" each and every time we said something and could barely place our order or say what toppings, sauces and dressings we wanted on each thing we ordered. She then asked some slob homeless looking guy in the back if they had each thing we were ordering in which he said yes they had it. After completing the order and telling us that it would be 30 mins until it was ready to pick up so we waited in the car. After 25 mins they tell us "we don't have half of your order because we ran out". The homeless looking slob and the girl up front both acted like they didn't care at all and didn't even offer to make something else to replace half of our order but wanted us to take what they did make of it! Omg I was furious! They could have told us before making the order that they didn't have half of it instead of wasting our time. It was getting late and we have kids to feed and get ready for bed & all that fun parent stuff yet to do that night. They definitely don't have their act together there and seem to have lost interest in providing their customers quality food and professional service! I am seriously finished with this place, they have just lost a $175-200 a month customer. I know that doesn't make much of a dent in their total sales but I don't think many real businesses want to lose a 4-10x a month repeat customer no matter what they spend. Our orders were always $25 to $50 range, so I know I always loved those kinds of customers when I ran pizza places. Oh well, I'm sure the other guys will appreciate our business since Pizza City will no longer get it!

OLDER REVIEW: They have been running out of lasagna 4 out of 5 times I try to order it. Not sure if this is due to incompetent management not ordering enough, or if the people who prep (either by thawing out enough if frozen or making enough from scratch) are not having enough available for the nightshift, or if it is simply being ordered more and running out early those days. Whichever it is, it's highly aggravating because it's very good & when I am craving it I would love to be able to get it ;) lol. They are inconsistent with the garlic bread the last 7 or so times we have ordered, they need to figure out what an extra order is going to be and...

My family and I have always stopped at Pizza City twice a year when we visited Florida. Now, I live down here. I visit very often as they have the best pizza, wings, and garlic knots around. If you're looking for quality without emptying the bank... This is the place you need to be.

But, I'm writing his review because of the staff... Specifically.. The waitresses..... Horrible. Rude.... I have seen many different people in and out and I must say I saw two specific girls who did nothing. Luckily, our waitress, Bailey... Was FANTASTIC... She picked up the slack for her lazy coworkers. When we walked in, all the tables were dirty. Which is NOT usual.... As I sat and ate I realized why.... Our waitress was the only one who cleaned tables, took orders, answered phones, and waited on people.. as her other two coworkers went outside, on their cell phones.. Or just plain doing nothing... Bailey is an amazing waitress and I know that she is newer there. She deserves a raise and all the praise. Although she shouldn't of been doing some of the things she was, because it was not all her responsibility... she did it !!! Why??? Because she wanted ALL customers to have a good experience. The place was packed and she was the only one out on the floor. She is just amazing. I wish I had a better way to get a hold of management there to let them know. I will make sure to go out of my way to talk to them the next time they are there..

Food was ok. I had an eggplant parmesan sandwich and fries. The eggplant was super thin and mushy. There was too much cheese and sauce which made the whole sandwich soggy. The fries were ok. Hot yes, edible yes, but still just ok.

My mother had a slice of pizza and cheese ravioli that came with salad and bread. They did forget to bring the salad until she asked about it. She seemed to like hers but I tried a piece of her bread and it wasn't hot at all. She did say her pizza was just ok.

The prices are decent. Not sure if the food is really worth the prices. It's all pretty cheap but should be cheaper. The atmosphere is very bland with no music. The cleanliness could be better. The service is pretty good. They're all pretty nice and mostly knowledgeable.

As far as the cleanliness goes, they should replace at least some of the ceiling.. especially the parts where there's leak stains and black mold. In the women's bathroom, they definitely need to clean the fan that's...
