The following review is for a lunch carryout order. Papa John's pizza here was better than most carryout lunch pizza places and here's why: Service: The phone ordering was easy and fast and verified at the end of the call. The service by the in-store staff was great. The carryout restaurant staff person was all by herself, except for an occasional delivery driver, and she was doing an excellent job of everything! Atmosphere: Restaurant was clean and staff was welcoming and professional across the board. Food: Based on the professionalism of the staff, I'd say the pizza was most likely made exactly to specifications, which, of course, are set by corporate or franchise owners. So, the pizza was better than most other carryout places because the crust and sauce are awesome. The crust and sauce are way better than other pizza places that serve you sauce that is over-acidified for greater shelf-life, and frozen factory dough proofed with nasty palm oil and even more preservatives for greater shelf-life resulting in a greasy sludge crust. The pizza received 4 stars instead of 5 because they limit the specified cheese to just barely not cover the sauce sufficiently even though the cheese in the pictures of their pizzas DOES barely cover the sauce. Again, I believe the specifications were followed, so kudos to restaurant staff, and boo-dos to corporate/franchise cheese skimping. But hey, don't just take my word for it. Give this Papa's a try. If you happen to have leftovers you could actually eat a slice cold because better ingredients DO equal better pizza. Read moreI ordered and paid online. It said a delivery time of 33-43 minutes. I received a survey request and notice of delivery after waiting about 45 minutes. I called the store and the person who answered didn't know what was going on so they were going to ask the manager. I was advised that my order should be there within 10 minutes or less. I waited another 20 minutes before I called back. I spoke with the manager after calling back and he gave me a story about the driver not clocking back in from her break correctly and it told the system that my order was delivered when it hadn't left the store. At this point my order had been ready for over 30 minutes. The manager said the driver should be there any minute. He seemed aggravated because I was upset about an error that was made by the store. I asked about being compensated for the mistake and he was hesitant. I told him that I hoped my food did not arrive cold and he said if it did that he could remake the order. Obviously this would take a significant amount of time and it was unfair to me as the customer. He reluctantly offered to credit the account but at this point I had no desire to order from the store again. It took about 10 minutes before the delivery driver arrived. She didn't offer any apology either. Needless to say you could tell that the food had been sitting for some time and it was barely warm. The food was cold after opening for less than two minutes. Read moreThe staff are very disrespectful. Instructions were to call when arriving so that I could meet the delivery person at the front of the building. They called from the store stating that the deliver person could not find the building. I repeated the address gave the color of the building. I went down to the front door to wait for the driver or at least flag them down, waited 10 minutes before calling the store, only to be placed on hold and called luv etc- that is so disrespectful, a lady then came on the line after 5minutes of being on hold, to tell me that the driver (door dash) had just left. My exact words to her--- Why the Hell did you call me and tell me that the drive was here but couldn't find the building 10 minutes ago- She told me not to cuss at her (which she would have know if I would have cussed at her) told me that if door dash didn't deliver the food in 10 minutes that she would personally send one of her drivers. Door Dash called (whim I may add is a very NICE lady) apologized up and down right and left explaining that they didn't put the complete address down. She showed me the receipt they are given for delivery-- WAY TO SCREW UP AGAIN!! This is a horrible store, run by horribly trained and disrespectful staff!!
