Their "system" was down. Lots of product under headlamps, but their system was down. They couldn't push a button and be told what to do next. Customers sat, product aged out. I tried several times to get them to place some chicken and beans in a box and I would give them money. I didn't even need change! But their system was down. Apparently I had a "bad attitude" for asking them to take my money and a tip for doing something the computer hadn't instructed them to do. Put the product in my hand rather than throwing it in the trash! They really didn't like hearing about how we solved such existential problems in the old days. I was apparently angry and shouting (I was not) for bringing this to their attention. The angry restaurant manager finally put some some chicken and beans & rice in a box, but wouldn't take my money. She told me to leave her truckstop.

I went into the store to buy more and hears her lying about me to the site manager. He permanently banned me, doing his best impression of Twitter, not caring about a fleet of 100+ trucks that fuel there. Special shame on him. He is old enough to remember what true customer service is. And hopefully wise enough to know about the high cost of Ego.

My banning had nothing to do with business, or customer service, or protecting his precious snowflakes from any real harm. This was all about vengeance and control of others. He even threatened to "swat" me with police...

I won't ever go here again without a coupon giving me a good reason to spend my money here. I know they give them out in the mail sometimes, so I will hold out until then. I paid $34 for two people, which included: 8 pc Chicken Meal(one "large" mashed potatoes and gravy & 4 biscuits) and then added one "regular" size Mac & Cheese. So, now, this leads me to their biggest issues: THE PORTIONS ARE SAD, PATHETIC, AND A RIP OFF. The mashed potatoes and Mac & Cheese I ordered weren't even close to the top of the container. We got 4 bites of Mac & Cheese, so we paid just over a dollar a bite. Something is always out and/or broken. Today, it was supposedly the self-serve fountain drink machine. But, fast forward 2 minutes after my mother was told she couldn't get the Diet Coke that she wanted(that came with the combo SHE PAID FOR), an employee, from the Taco Bell right next door, came and poured himself one. I've always loved going to this TA truck stop. They're clean. And they have Popeyes, Taco Bell, & Pizza hut all in one spot. Recently, I tried to order 8 piece chicken, and I asked first if I can get all thighs no wings. They said yes, so I ordered 2 set of 8 chickens. The regular price of 16pc is $32. I was okay with the upcharge, so I paid $45 for all thighs. But tonight @6:40p.m cst. 02/01/2025. The Cook was all pissed, I understand i ordered 16pc all thighs. But if I paid for it, why being unprofessional about it. Complaining outloud while customers & my self is at the dinning place. Guilt tripping the clerk about NOT accepting my kind of order.
