We came here for a misty freeze. When we pulled up to the drive thru it immediately said that they were closed. Someone got on and said that they were still open and asked us to wait to order. We waited for at least 5 minutes before she got back to us.
When she asked what we wanted, we ordered directly from the menu board. We were told that their slush machine wasn't working. We then had to choose an alternative. We had to wait a while for her to get back to us... AGAIN... we chose chocolate ice cream cones. We were told that they didn't have any chocolate ice cream. Back to the menu board... I asked if they had vanilla ice cream and finally got a yes. We ordered 2 ice cream cones . Pulled around and sat for at least another 5 minutes. Once we got to the window we waited another 2 minutes for her to come to the window, she was just standing there. She took our money $6.56 for 2 ice cream cones seemed pretty steep.
Not until we paid did she start making the cones.
She was polite and friendly... but extremely slow and unorganized.
I would have a really hard time recommending a place that doesn't have items on their menu during business hours. So for that reason I can't recommend this place.
The other reason is that taking 30 minutes or more through the drive-thru should NEVER happen.
It's not only the employees problem when the first thing you're greeted with is a recording saying that they are closed during business hours. That's reflected management's lack of...
Read moreAbsolutely the WORST dairy queen I have ever been to! This one is located 2 blocks from my house so I usually end up choosing this location, but just about every time I do, I am disappointed. I came here last week for the snickerdoodle cookie dough blizzard and they were out of the cinnamon flavoring. One week later, on my lunch break, I decide to drive over and order the same blizzard. I was advised the flavoring was still out, but a truck was currently unloading the flavoring and it would be a 20-minute wait. I advised the employee I was on my lunch break and it would be over by that time, so I would come back later....Well, I came back on my next break and again was advised they were out of the flavoring! I reminded the employee I was just here and she told me the truck was unloading the cinnamon flavor for that current blizzard. Asked the employee what happened..and all she could say is that she didn't know! But if I want she can put the cookie dough in the blizzard WITHOUT any flavoring! I reluctantly agreed. Upon purchasing the blizzard I had a mobile coupon for a dollar off, when I tried to use it she told me they cannot accept it because their machine is BROKEN...knowing all that had happened.... she offered NO SOLUTION....This Dairy Queen will never have my...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying I have worked in the food industry since I was 14. My mother was a single mom, raising me on server money. I've spent a huge portion of my life in this industry. From KFC/Taco Bell to being the bar manager at a private yacht club. And I understand this is the first job for a lot of these kids.
HOWEVER, they need to be taught to acknowledge customers when we walk in the door. Even if they are unable to help us right away or not. -Make eye contact -Smile -Say hello -Mention you'll be right there ANYTHING. I stood there for a SOLID 90 seconds when I finally asked the two kids working how they were doing. I got my order in, got my soda, stood there and watched my order come up in the window. I hear (and see) the bell ding twice, the boy at the register was just kind of spacing out. He looked up at me and smiled. I pointed to my food in the window. Politely. He slowly walked over and bagged my food. Now, he could've counted my change back, but we won't get into that. Two most important things:
Welcome/acknowledge customers Get the hot food to the customers at quickly as you can When that bell rings, get to that food A.S.A.P. Not trying to rip anyone, but a couple of simple, important things to...
