Must eat here! If want to walk into a different happier time, go to the Decoy! Because it is like the TV show CHEERS, guaranteed a great time, good food and friendly people. The bar also does generous pours, so you get the most bang for your buck!

Peter the owner is the unofficial mayor of Linton as he has lived there forever and knows the name of most his customers. For a great meal with friends or family this place can’t be beat. Amazing to go MENU as they bring in a different cook most nights for specials. Of Chicago, Seattle, SF and PDX, best chowmein or garlic chicken I had this year. I travel a lot on the road for work as a consultant and skip eating in Portland to just drive a few minutes west along the river to the Decoy. They bring in a Mexican cook for Taco Tuesdays, master pizza maker for Thursdays and so forth, so you can have something fantastic at a good price every night that uses quality fresh ingredients, like the hand made noodles for the chowmein. If you want that Portlandia one of a kind place to tell your friends about that has funky decor and is a time warp to a time when people cared about what they cooked, this is the perfect place to have a fun night with friends or family.

Why the best Chinese food! On the road most of the teriyaki chicken I find at restaurants is thin thingy strips and only average quality. At the Decoy, they make fresh teriyaki sauce for each order and something I have not viewed any other restaurant do. Also the teriyaki meals at the Decoy are thick juicy pieces of fresh chicken and more than twice the meat I get at other places. At a Hilton Hotel in LA, I paid a fortune for teriyaki chicken dinner that had less flavor and a fraction of the chicken, so I can tell you from being on the road all time you get better flavor and great value at the Decoy. They also have a side parking lot for easy access for people on the go like myself. Great for a family dinner and I go there with my best friend to relax, while...

There have been a lot of rumors and unfortunate comments that have gone around about the new owners and the state of the Decoy, and it makes me said that such a wonderful community could treat people the way they have.

I've been a customer of the Decoy long enough to remember when Peter and Jane bought it, and when they did people freaked out in the exact same way; "It's going to be different", "They're going to change it", "What are we going to do?", and it turns out everyone loved Peter and Jan and the changes they brought. And, look at us know - we're all upset that they've retired.

Jeff and Chelsea are the new owners of the Decoy and have been doing what they can to make it, and keep it, the place that we all love. There are going to be changes and bumps along the way, and that's inevitable, but instead of trash talking them and/or the Decoy, why don't we put the rumor mill to bed, and instead provide constructive comments while patronizing their establishment, and empower them to be the fabulous owners I think think they can be. We are all a part of an amazing community who genuinely care for and respect one another, so let's give Jeff and Chelsea a...

Ok I hate to do it but I just had too. Being from Scappoose and not having many options this used to be our "go to" spot, we'd have great food and a stiff drink to surpass the long wait for food. Once you got the food you'd remember that it was worth the wait. We've been there quite a few times since Jan sold to the new owners and each time there are fewer and fewer people, which is crazy for this place as it used to be hard to find a seat on Friday or Saturday, as well as the drinks get weaker and weaker and we don't drink that often so when I say it's weak they're REALLY weak. Tonight there was all of about 4 people and us Ona Friday night at 630 and we ordered our normal one Long Island and it had literally no alcohol and was so sweet we couldn't drink it. The only reason we went again was for the pizza, we ordered a burger to share and a pepperoni pizza. The burger was ok and the pizza was burnt underneath. The Chinese food was SO good before, we always ordered it and raved about it, told everyone we could to go try it. Looks like it's time to cross this one off our list and go on the hunt for a new "go to" especially for Chinese or hell any...

I don't think I have had pizza that tasted that good sense I was in Paris it must have something to do with the new oven or the head chef behind the line, between the atmosphere and the rustic feel mixed with the rock in roll feel of the place, the wait staff and the prices, it is definitely a sherbet I will be back, definitely worth a shot try out especially that they're under New Management make the atmosphere even better!

Dropped in after a hike in Forest Park. My first visit, but it won’t be my last. Kimmie, the bartender/waitress/server, was exceptionally good at her job and extremely friendly. I had the chicken salad which was not only huge but very tasty. I’m planning on bringing back a big group of hikers this Spring…today I was scouting for the restaurant…found it!
