My family of 5 visited here on July 4, 2024. We feared it would be an overpriced tourist trap- we were wrong! The line moved swiftly despite the holiday crowd, and the cashier answered our questions without making us feel rushed, They were able to easily accommodate the vegetarian and the gluten-free members in our group. We sat on the back patio watching the amazing view of Casco Bay and were able to have a comfortable conversation as the music was not overbearing despite the speakers being right near us. Our food was absolutely delicious! We all raved about the freshness of our dishes and how crispy and perfect the fried items were. My gf bun was one of the best I've ever tasted! The only reason why this review did not get perfect stars was because despite ordering together; two of our group received their platters a solid 15 minutes before the other three of us, which impeded on us all comfortably dining together. Also, having never been there before, we found the different dining levels a bit awkward to navigate. However, small gripes for a fabulous meal. With food that good and versatile; we will...

Amazing spot. I would have to say this saved our trip to Peaks Island...

We took the ferry to Peaks Island to walk around and explore. I will tell you...honestly not much to see. Maybe 1 or 2 "bodegas" at best. A few rental places and some shuttered landmarks.

I was more expecting a little center of town with some cute shops.

Oh and there was an ice cream shop with a gift shop attached.

We wandered the other direction before jumping on the ferry and found Island Lobster Co. Great Lobster Rolls... excellent belly on fried clams. Top notch.

Also has a beautiful patio with a view.

Honestly wish there was just more attractions and shops to make the trip to the island worth while. I can definitely say if there was more to do I would frequent the island and definitely Island Lobster Co would be my goto for nourishment...

Really good food! Everything tastes so fresh. I got the crab roll, which I highly recommend. My friend got the lobster roll (with butter not mayo) which he said was good but I think I enjoyed my meal more. My husband got the fried fish sandwich which he liked, surprising because he’s not a huge fan of fish! The French fries are sooo crispy - I do recommend getting at least 1 serving for the table - but every meal comes with a bag of Cape Cod chips so you don’t need much more! The view is beautiful if you sit and stay. We all ordered different cocktails and all thought they were very sweet, so might suggest a beer instead. But otherwise, everything was great. Really friendly staff and the bartender was...

Day in Portland. Peak’s Island #portlandmaine #peaksisland #maine #travel

We really enjoyed this place. There is a big covered patio with a great view, and the food options are all solid. Pricing is also decent considering you are on a small island where everything comes via ferry, and there aren't a ton of competitors. The "kids' meals" are decent portions, reasonably priced, you can order them at any age. I did spring for the whole lobster one day, and I wasn't disappointed. We cooked most of our meals at our rental cottage, but groceries on the island are expensive, so we didn't feel bad about splurging for a few meals out here. We will definitely be back on future trips.

This is a wonderful island restaurant. They source their lobster from people they know personally. More importantly to me, not eating seafood, they serve excellent fries. Their upper deck does have the absolute best view on Peaks, especially in the evening. A new bar has also opened up downstairs called the Skegg, with a lovely wood-clad interior and access to the beautiful lawn running down to the beach. There are picnic tables, Adirondacks, green grass, and lawn games aplenty. The staff are wonderfully friendly and great at their jobs. Can't recommend it enough! The lawn is also dog friendly.
