Old Sierra City Hotel — Restaurant in Portola

Awesome night at @oldsierracityhotel in Sierra City. The hotel, a gold-rush-era relic, mostly open to through-hikers on the PCT, doesn't have a license to serve alcohol, but Rob, the innkeeper and semi-retired musician, let us sit at the bar, drink our byob, and shoot pool on the de-quartered table while he played country songs on his guitar. I can't say enough good things about this place. Rob's hospitality was exceptional. If you're riding Downieville, stop by on your way through Sierra City and say hi to him, and maybe you'll get "Robbed"...

This is an amazing place to stay in a very chill town. The building is beautiful and historic with modern upgrades and it just makes me want to live here!
