I don't do this often. I just think this needs to be expressed. I can't leave a rating on food or atmosphere for this experience because we did not get to that point. We walked into the front with a sign that said wait to be seated. There was a couple with 3 kids waiting and then another couple as well. There was 1 employee upfront cashing out and phone orders. The issued lied where we stood there for a little over 10 minutes with ZERO interaction from anyone. No one came to the front to greet us during this time and the person at the counter never said anything to the 3 groups waiting. She continued to cash out groups of people going through almost 10 transactions. She answered phones and left a couple of times.
The problem wasn't waiting the problem was no one acknowledged anyone of the groups waiting. The lady behind the counter didn't greet us, say a word to any of us while we were there. She didn't go grab someone to seat us. She didn't mention anything. No one else came and apologized for the wait or anything. That was the problem. Customer service fell hard, well didn't exist to begin with.
What broke the last straw was a customer who was leaving asking the family if they were cashing out. Well you wanna reconsider. The buffet hardly had food, some was cold, and just not good today.
On that note we left and as we were leaving the family with the kids were leaving right behind us. To where they had waited.longer with the same results.
Just consider a couple of things Remove the sign so people can seat themselves Have someone there to seat them Have it be the Cashiers responsibility or at least communicate.
We left. Drove 25 minutes to tonys in birch run. We waited in their tunnel had 3 people inform us what's going on. Check with us while waiting just outside of the building in the waiting tunnel.
I am all about redemption. We are coming around 930 Saturday. I want to take this down so...
Read moreI was excited to come here as the reviews seemed great. I was excited to try a Polish place and the murals on the walls of familiar places I visited in Poland were giving off a friendly and authentic vibe. However, I can't stop thinking about my experience here. To paint the picture we were the only ones dining in (weekday not weekend) and after being seated we were encouraged to try the buffet (because the food was already prepared) which looked appetizing from across the restaurant. The price seemed great and there was several staff standing around it including some that just brought out additional hot food. After asking the older waitress if she happened to speak Polish (out of curiosity) she almost seemed offended and after bringing out drinks immediately went on break and did not return the entire time we were there. After fixing a plate of a variety of items things seemed "off". The cut up cucumbers from the salad bar were slimy, the lunch meat board seemed green and dried up, tomatoes super soft. I tried the hot food and immediately gagged on the frozen fish that tasted awful and mushy. The potatoes tasted like lake water after that and inedible. For crying out loud, potatoes are such a staple item in Polish food. Who would do something like that to simple mashed potatoes?? Starving at this point, I continued with other items that didn't seem as bad like the meatballs or beef and pasta. The dessert looked unsatisfying like leftover lemon pie from a party two days ago and wrapped in plastic so we paid and left. I could not recommend this place to anyone as it was so disappointing. I noticed the obituary of the owner up on the board when you walk in. Maybe things went downhill after his passing or covid because this seemed awful. I noticed other reviews around the time I went in also disappointed and even mentioned the bored...

This might be the most wholesome $8.99 dinner in Bay City tonight. The “4 piece” isn’t code for four tiny scraps either—these were hearty, fall-off-the-bone tender 👌🍽️. The gravy? On point. And the consistency of the dressing had me wanting seconds 🥔❤️
Bay City gems like this deserve some love.
