Marco's Subs — Restaurant in Portsmouth

I have gone to Marco’s twice and both times my orders have been incorrect. They aren’t hard orders.

First time I asked for a blt and a club. No mayo on the club. I got home and they’re way half a container of mayo on my wife’s food.

Second time I ordered 2 blts, one WITH mayo and one WITHOUT. I double checked before I left with the employee that these indeed were blts and that one was with and one was without mayo. I just opened my subs at home and they gave me 1 BLT with mayo and 1 Turkey and cheese sub??? I convinced my wife to go ahead and eat it anyway. She took one bite and there was a long black hair coming out. (We both have light colored hair. ) I would not recommend this place to anyone and I will not be returning. Location couldn't be any more convenient, and it's a counter-service shop in a good gas station convenience store. Pretty much the best combo for a quick something on the go.

I really like their sandwiches most of the time. Unfortunately there are some fairly major variations in quality and assembly from visit to visit. It's never been "bad", but there's times it's been great.

My biggest dig and strongest recommendation to Marco, is to invest in a damn convection oven to toast things! That half broken, painfully slow, open-toaster nonsense is infuriating. You can stand there watching it for 15min and the sandwich still isn't toasted when it's served.

My coworker and I stopped in for a quick sub while doing an emergency response job for Narragansett Electric up the street. We both ordered a medium chourico and cheese sub. I added mustard to mine. That’s it. When we arrived at the site and went to eat our subs we were both very displeased with what we found. The cheese was put on top of the sub so it was stuck to the wax paper wrapped around the sub. Not only that, the subs were riddled with onions which neither one of us wanted or ordered. If they added it without us telling them to that is wrong and if they normally put onions in the mix with the meat it should be shown on the menu! What if either of us were severely allergic to onions? We could be dead!! Extremely displeased with...
