I believe Popeyes can be good food if properly made! I made 3 attempts to give this restaurant a chance (July 13,14,and 15). Day 1. Waited in the drive through for 40 min to get through a line of 7 vehicles. My order will be the same throughout this whole process (spicy chicken combo with a large Cajun rice and large Coke) $10.56 after tax. What I received was (1) classic chicken sandwich with a small fry and a large coke. Day 2. I received a spicy chicken sandwich small Cajun rice that looks as though they used the mashed potato spoon to dish out the rice and a Dr.pepper. Finally day 3. I received a classic chicken sandwich a large Cajun fry in which I traded for my spicy chicken sandwich and large Cajun rice that looked like it wasn’t done cooking and filled with soggy water filled rice And a large coke. You know businesses have managers for a reason. This restaurant does not care about the quality of the product they put out. If you would not eat it, why would you serve it! This goes for all Popeyes in the Portsmouth, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach area! There is no damn reason why a car would have to wait 40 plus minutes in drive through with 6 or 7 cars. I should buy your franchise and fire everyone because obviously the quality of food and uncaring attitude towards the customer starts with its employees. Read moreNot sure where to start. Placed an order this evening thru the app. That part was the lone positive in the whole ordeal. I received my order via a delivery service. Delivery time was adequate. That’s about all the good I have to say. Now onto the rest. 1st, just short of 1/2 of what I ordered was missing. I call and finally someone answers the phone. I state my issue and that was met with an attitude of well, that’s not my problem. Was told to call back tomorrow to speak to the general manager. Cliff note of this poor experience: Deliver driver did not confirm order contents Restaurant didn’t seem to give 2 ^%#%s about the issue. Issue was not resolved quickly and positively. 1/2 my dinner was missing and yet they took my full order amount of payment. Was not provided with a receipt so according to person on the phone, their “policy” for any resolution starts with needing a receipt. Well that’s convenient when you’re restaurant nor delivery service bother to provide 1.
So guess they’ll take my $30 and say F it. Well, 2 can play that game. I will no longer do business with this or any other Popeyes restaurant if this is how they choose to treat me as a customer. I will also share my experience with anyone I can and post it on my social media to make sure those in my circle are at least aware before they choose to proceed or not.

Read moreIt was my 1st visit ever and I waited 30 mins to get my food. People in the back had bad attitudes and were extremely slow or talking on a cell phone instead of working. I watched flies land on the sandwich bums that they had laid the bun and cheese out for, and saw them hand out chicken sandwiches to other patrons who ordered after I did, while making me wait when I had ordered before the people who got the sandwich, when they should have taken that sandwich and made it the way I ordered it, while making those who ordered after me to wait. Thereby making the wait equal to all. I had to ask about my sandwich 2 to 3 times and then the workers decided to get an attitude because people expected them to do their jobs in a timely manner. RIDICULOUS!!! I doubt that I will ever go back. They acted like they were doing me a favor by even being there. They have taken the fast out of fast food and then expect a higher wage on top of it...what a joke!!! I highly discourage everyone reading this from ever going there, unless you want to be angry, frustrated, and as a result even more hungry when you leave, than you were when you arrived. I could have went behind the counter myself and done the job quicker and better. It's time to remove the lazy workers from fast food, and time to restore fast to fast food.
