Staying nearby for a business trip. Many reviewers noted that this was the best buffalo chicken calzone (or pizza) in RI… We got the calzone version and completely agree - it was amazing! We also ordered a greek salad and the taco pizza - both awesome. Gary the owner was really nice and hospitable. Same goes for the rest of the staff. Oh and they stock New England’s best hard cider, Woodchuck served in an ice cold glass! My only suggestion would be to add some beer/cider related signage to the outside decor so customers passing by know that frosty brews await them inside. Absolutely coming back next time I am in the area.

Delicious pizza, known for their Buffalo chicken pizza, but that's not my thing. I got a small Great white pizza, and it was way better than I expected for having broccoli on a pizza. The veggies to meat ratio was fantastic, and the size that the toppings were just right. I also grabbed a cardiac arrest calzone, which was probably one of the best calzone I've had in my life. The place looks like a mess, that I would gladly hang out in on a daily basis, and the wait staff was very quick to help, or recommend a pizza. Loved it all in all.

If you love New York Pizza and Calzones, don't come here. HOWEVER, if you enjoy some yummy food that uses the terminology of calzone definitely come here. These were yummy! The atmosphere is great (make sure you check out the license plate from Arkansas, it is an upside down sin). Staff is informative and entertaining, as well as wonderful.

I think the morning staff is the best, I only had one bad experience here when I came in at 3pm and Brittney as well as another staff, I forgot her name (about 5'4, ginger) were rude, unprofessional, loud and childish . But other then that the food is great and Alishi (I think that's how you spell her name) was GREAT when I came in the following day!!!! I will be returning and leaving more reviews. I just bought a house near by, so I will be here often! My advice to the two rude staff is, always do your best in customer service..you never know who you might be dealing with and your customers service plays a major role at West Main Pizza. 5 stars for the food, but because of those staff poor customer service, my rating has dropped to 3 stars. I don’t know why this place is popular other than there being limited options in Portsmouth. I’ve eaten there maybe three times and all were disappointing. Last meal was a Philly cheesesteak calzone with sauce on the side. I don’t think the chef has ever had a Philly cheesesteak. For starters, vegetables need to be fully cooked, not crunchy. 2nd not enough cheese. Sauce is bland. The icing on the cake was I asked for sauce on the side for dipping. The sauce container was obviously just taken out of the fridge since it was ice cold. Yum, nothing like dipping calzone slices into ice cold sauce. Won’t...
