West Main Pizza — Restaurant in Portsmouth

I think the morning staff is the best, I only had one bad experience here when I came in at 3pm and Brittney as well as another staff, I forgot her name (about 5'4, ginger) were rude, unprofessional, loud and childish . But other then that the food is great and Alishi (I think that's how you spell her name) was GREAT when I came in the following day!!!! I will be returning and leaving more reviews. I just bought a house near by, so I will be here often! My advice to the two rude staff is, always do your best in customer service..you never know who you might be dealing with and your customers service plays a major role at West Main Pizza. 5 stars for the food, but because of those staff poor customer service, my rating has dropped to 3 stars. We got the calzone version and completely agree - it was amazing!

We also ordered a greek salad and the taco pizza - both awesome.

Gary the owner was really nice and hospitable. Same goes for the rest of the staff.

Oh and they stock New England’s best hard cider, Woodchuck served in an ice cold glass!

My only suggestion would be to add some beer/cider related signage to the outside decor so customers passing by know that frosty brews await them inside.

I don’t know why this place is popular other than there being limited options in Portsmouth. I’ve eaten there maybe three times and all were disappointing. Last meal was a Philly cheesesteak calzone with sauce on the side. I don’t think the chef has ever had a Philly cheesesteak. For starters, vegetables need to be fully cooked, not crunchy. 2nd not enough cheese. Sauce is bland. The icing on the cake was I asked for sauce on the side for dipping.
