We love to travel and if you are anything like us we need good coffee along the route to properly fuel ourselves for the endeavor. 😅
Red Fir Coffee House is the perfect little (2 mile) detour on the way to Moscow & Lewiston. The coffee house is located in Potlatch, Idaho off highway 6… about 1.5 hours away. And It’s 100% worth the extra few minutes to drive into town.
You will find delicious pastries, wine, coffee, and the cutest little boutique shop for women & kids. You can sit down, enjoy some WiFi and have a moment outside the car. There is even a small little park within walking distance to the shop if you need to get those wiggles out!
This is a MUST stop for my family anytime we are close enough to go. And we wish they had a CDA location.
Next time you find yourself driving south we hope you consider stopping & supporting a local family business.

Read moreMy partner, child, and I visited Red Fir on our way through Potlatch and, wow, what a gem! We shared a blackberry white chocolate mocha (on special), a turkey pesto sandwich, and a peanut butter ball (not pictured). Everything was absolutely delicious! The 12 oz mocha ($5) was well made and decorated. The white chocolate and berry flavoring was a delightful combination. The sandwich ($9) was fresh and came with pickled onions and a bag of chips. The peanut butter ball (~$2) was out of this world. It was sweet peanut butter covered in dark chocolate and sea salt. I could have eaten 50. The ambiance of this cafe is warm and welcoming. There are 3 different rooms to sit in with comfy chairs. In one, there’s an electric fireplace! 🙌🏻 The boutique is quite affordable and has beautiful pieces for all sizes and ages. Our barista was kind and gave great recommendations. We will absolutely...
Read moreRed Fir Coffee in Potlatch is an absolute gem! From the cozy atmosphere to the incredible service, everything about our visit was top-notch. A special shoutout to Angela the barista, she went above and beyond! She crafted a wonderful hot chocolate for our daughter that made her light up with joy, and made two fantastic London Fogs for my wife and me. We especially appreciated the care she took in preparing a sugar-free version for my wife, it’s the little things that really make a difference.
The food was just as impressive. Our daughter loved her delicious breakfast sandwich, and the breakfast quiche I had was honestly one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Every item felt thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor.
We left feeling warm, full, and grateful. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area, you won’t be...
