It just gets better every time!

When you ask me how dare I not take pictures of the untouched plate, I simply say, "I just could not wait to dig in!" I am one who likes authentic restaurants, ran by authentic people who make authentic food! Ya girl did not get this big without enjoying her pasta! Roma's has got to be in my 5 top restaurants! I am one to always speak the truth despite the feelings of others, especially when it comes to a business! Roma's is a small hole in the wall restaurant in Pottsboro, TX. It is family ran and has been for 18 years! When you decide to visit, understand this, your food will not come out right away like in a nasty restaurant like olive garden! It will come out in a few minutes or more, but please remain in your seats and do not leave! The food you will be served is freshly made, it will come out hot and homemade! No, seriously, the pasta noodles and bread are all made by the family! It is open seating, but remember it is a smaller restaurant, so if your party is huge, a little advanced notice might be appreciated! Now, back to the food!🙌🏼 (what I ate personally) Spaghetti and meat balls: This particular dish is something I stay weary of as a lot of spaghetti pasta sauce has mushrooms, but thankfully, at Roma's it is just a tomato sauce and it is AMAZING! I can't even explain the noodles, but I can tell you they were a 1000 times better than box noodles! Those meatballs 🤌🏼 bro! Just...👌🏼bro... not only were they larger than expected, but they were like a light punch of flavor that paired perfectly with the tomato sauce! All in all, for the spaghetti, I'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. The tomato sauce itself could have used more flavor, but I will most definitely be getting more spaghetti!!! Stuffed Shells: This particular meal should be illegal! It takes you on a journey, dude! Like in Ratatouille when he starts seeing every single ingredient, yea like that! It is just as good with every bite, and so far, my favorite pasta dish from any restaurant EVER! A solid 10 out of 10! Tiramisu: I am not a fan of tiramisu, as it is normally overly baring with sweetness. You can't appreciate the flavor of something when it is just way too sweet. However, I don't know what they're doing up there at Roma's, but that tiramisu was amazing! Was it sweet, sure, but a gentle sweet. I could actually focus on the other flavors in the tiramisu and enjoy all of them! Solid 9 out of 10 on that! Nutella Cheesecake: I used to love chocolate and still find myself wanting more than one should! Nutella just happens to be my favorite chocolate, so of course I had to try it & of course it was fantastic. This one, even though delicious, just wasn't it for me! It was just about perfect, but something wasn't there for me, and so I'm going to give this a 7 out of 10. (Things my husband ordered & I stole a bite) Shrimp Scampi: it was really good! I'm not much of a seafood in my pasta kinda person, but this was very good! 8 out of 10! Pizza: yall, did I mention IT IS FRESH MADE BREAD that includes the pizza dough! Nice Atmosphere and Amazing food every visit. I enjoy eating here because every time I come in, I feel like a friend rather than a customer. Great dining experience! The food (especially the pizza) was GREAT, but the reason my family will make this a regular destination is the wonderful staff that run the restaurant. If you would like to enjoy good conversation over great food with great service, give them a try!
