We are traveling through to AZ. My husband loves stopping at local cafes. Tammy Lou’s popped up. After looking at reviews we decided that would be our lunch place. What a gem of a find. TL’s had great, inexpensive home cooked food. The coffee lived up to its reputation as the best coffee in town. My husband said the coffee was better than the Starbuck’s coffee he had that morning. That is high praise coming from him. The waitress was exceptional and provided comic entertainment. If the “ food is up” bell was tapped more than once the waitress would holler “ I’m coming!” We didn’t get to meet Tammy Lou. The waitress came close enough- she is Tammy Lou’s cousin. Non locals would probably assume the small beige building is an outbuilding for the truck trailer parking lot that surrounds it despite the hand painted cafe sign pasted to the side. It would be a shame because they would be missing out on a delicious little diner with good food and even better service. Staff kept our table filled with drinks and the food that arrived fairly quickly was all well made.
