Maria's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Prairie Township

I read a review after I was at the restaurant and it couldn't be more accurate.

“ The service is awful and the food was even worse. The $12 plate of supreme nachos, were pulled from the microwave - cheese not melted, chips soggy, ground beef had zero flavor. The "cheese sauce" looks like canned cheese soup mixed with chicken gravy. The "salsa" is basically tomato soup. The red sauce tasted like tomato bisque. This was literally soup can Mexican. You couldn't pay me to eat here again.”

Spot on! The only thing I would add is that it was not busy when we walked in. All the tables were dirty with food and plates on them, dishes got moved off about 5 minutes in but we never got our table wiped down, and it took us 20 minutes just to get our water. There some great comments about this place but we will not be back....

Quick stop for lunch and had some really good fajitas. Very heavy on the meat, not so much on the veggies. Well seasoned though and their house hot sauce was very good. The chips were fresh, but the salsa and cheese could be improved, very bland and texture less. The street tacos were also well done, had carne asada and al pastor. The kids enchilada sauce was reminiscent of French dressing, would not recommend. All things considered, a solid option if...

Outstanding food! One waitress. She was swamped but handled it very well for a noon rush hour. She was smiling the whole time and handled it very well. But they really should get her someone to assist during the busy lunch hour. The Centerville location has amazing food also. If you are in the area. It is the best option for food. Has drive up window for call ahead orders. Always a full plate and worth...
