My family of 5 ventured out of our comfort zone and tried something new for breakfast today. We are pretty loyal to our regular places and routine. We arrived and were sat in the back room alone. Our waitress was quick to get our orders and bring our drinks I was happy about that. However, it took a really long time to get our food. Granted there were five of us. My two kids finished their hot chocolates and a waitress came and asked if they needed more coffee. I politely said no they had hot chocolate can they please have two waters since those are gone. She didn't say anything and walked away. Another waitress came in the room and looked at us. She said did you need something? The other girl said you did. I politely said yes two waters please. About another fifteen minutes pass and our food finally comes to the table. We were missing an order of pancakes, an order of toast, and our utensils to eat with. Finally once we had utensils we were able to dig into our incredibly COLD food. My husband had the Mexican omelette and German fries, he usually eats all of his food and then part of mine but halfway through he couldn't eat anymore of it it was gross and cold. My roommate had the omelette with all the meats green peppers and onions hash browns pancakes, he tried everything to be able to eat his omelette and just couldn't. My son and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with has browns and toast. The steaks and gravy were like warm, hard to eat, his eggs (ordered as over medium) were not cooked properly and my eggs were rubbery and cold. Even my 8 year old daughter was dissatisfied with her order of pancakes bacon and sausage complaining that the meat was cold. We paid our $70 tab and even tipped the waitress $10 as it wasn't her fault the food was gross. We went on to do the rest of our back to school shopping with the kids and halfway through all of us were sick to our stomachs. Stomach cramps beyond belief and my husband even ended up puking.
If you don't want food poisoning and want to enjoy your meal this is definitely NOT the...
Read moreThis place opened at the end of February 2023. Princeton needed this.....I've had their breakfast, lunch, and dinner now. At breakfast, our table had the All in Omelet with biscuits, coffee, 1/2 order of Biscuits and gravy with hot chocolate, Hashbrowns with scrambled eggs with sausage and a full order of biscuits and gravy, and Mtn dew. These plates were not greasy, and the food was fresh and properly cooked. Our Lunch table had a jalapeño burger with jalapeño poppers and unsweetened tea, Grilled ham and cheese sandwich with seasoned fries, and 1/2 and 1/2 tea. Again, the food was fresh. Hot, and perfectly cooked. At dinner, Shiloh served our Grilled cheese and apple sauce, Pork tenderloin, with fries, and a classic burger with regular fries and Cole slaw. The tenderloin was huge in diameter, and served on a Hamburger bun... EVERY plate served to us had such large portions and was DELICIOUS! The place is small and quaint with a Mom and Pop feel to it. Our two other waitresses were just as polite and detail-oriented as Shiloh, but I'm sorry I can't remember their names. The menu is a smorgasbord, with something for everyone. We will be back! Oh and although we were too full to eat any, the desserts...
Read moreIf I could give more stars I would. I wish I would have caught our waitresses name but we visited on 5/26 and she was absolutely wonderful. I have a gluten allergy and her and the kitchen staff went above and beyond to help keep me safe. They brought out ingredients for me to check before they made my food, she was asking me questions, and was extremely understanding. Her attitude of "I don't know but I'll find out" is extremely rare in this area and I cannot say how much I appreciate that. I had the grilled chicken with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Portions were large and it was amazing. The side salad was large and very good. My boyfriend had the chefs choice. Again HUGE portions and everything was fantastic. This wasn't an establishment I would have thought I could eat at safely because down home cooking usually involves flour of some kind but I will be back often. Thank you for your kindness! I do not have that experience around...
