This is an old school diner place that focuses on breakfast and they do it well.
Set in the square of downtown Princeton, The Palace Cafe offers that retro fell of a 50's 60's diner where the food is made from quality ingredients and cooked to order. You can expect your food to be hot and your service to be warm and friendly.
The prices on their meal are actually some of the best I have seen and you can get your belly extremely full for a price that is not going to hit the pocket book.
I am a vast fan of eggs cooked almost any style so I felt the need to try them out scrambled and sunny side up. Both cooked to perfection in my book while the sausage patty was delicious and thick.
If you are in the area I recommend checking this place out. If you live in Princeton then you already know.

Read moreAfter your restaurant being highly recommend. We gave it a try and was so sorry disappointed. I called around 8:20 after viewing several websites. Everything looked so good untill I called to place an order. I was told that there was no mashed potatoes for the Wellington, that they had already been dumped. I asked if the waffle fries could be substituted and was told that was not possible. I ordered 3 beef Wellingtos 3 waffle fries and 3 coleslaw. The total for our order came to $41. And change. When we got home we found out there was no gravy. A beef Wellington is not a beef Wellington without gravy. The fries were ok the slaw was good. I am so dissatisfied I don't think I will ever order from you again!!!!! It was a hard and expensive lesson...

The cheeseburger I got was really quite tasty, and the speed wasn't too terrible, though a little on the slower side. Expect around a 20-30 minute wait time is what we found out. Our waitress was a little absent from us, but we were sitting a table and not at the bar where it seems the focus is mainly at.
Overall a cool atmosphere and decent food for a mom and pop store. I would go back if I was looking for a small place to eat at...
