Imperial House — Restaurant in Prospect Park

My husband and I have had a tradition for over 15 years to order Chinese for dinner on New Year Day. We honestly started it because they were one of the few places open on the holiday years ago and although almost all places are open now, we've still held true to this tradition and it's always been Imperial House.

The food is always ready on time, portions are plenty, and delicious. Imperial House is always my go to for local Chinese. Most often we order sweet and sour chicken, chicken and broccol, chicken and cashews, general tso's chicken, fried rice, or lo mein dishes. Their combos offer really portion sizes.

I just want to say that first of all they take very long to arrive they will arrive a hour & 30 maybe 2 hours don’t order from this place if you are really hungry or hungry Periodt I suggest yu order a hour before maybe 2 hours before because you will wait like it’s horrible don’t think this is just another comment you will wait trust and believe then they had the nerve to forget my drink like what kind of store is this da food not worth it either The food is disgusting it looks good but the taste it like taste like rubber like it’s just horrible this isn’t anyone first experience either spend your money...

Meh. Sigh. It showed up in a timely fashion atleast. Would I order again, no. Why, because it just wasn't very good. I'm spoiled by my China work on Hinkely Ave in Ridley. I am about to go give them 5 stars right now as I have a new appréciation for them after this experience. If china work wasn't closed on Mondays now, I would have eaten that and not this.
