Shmily's — Restaurant in Prospect

We stop by Shmileys with members of my family occasionally. I ordered a $3.00 banana cone. IS WAS VANILLA. NOT BANANA. I took it back in 3 times and there was.no banana taste to it at all and the girl who made its argued with me and said it was banana. I had 3 tastes but she refused to make another one properly saying she tasted what was on the bottom of the container and said it was banana. (The bottom of the container she mixed it in may have had banana flavoring in it but the cone did not!) I DONT PAY $3.00 FOR A MEDIOCRE VANILLA CONE ANYWHERE. She needs retrained in customer service or she should take the season off! She was not friendly at all. Laramie

This is a great place that I stop at after my paper route. The breakfast is certainly nothing to write home about, but the Ice Cream...Yes I am the reason the Ice Cream machine is on at 7:30 AM! And the Apple Dumplings with Ice Cream and Caramel sauce is just mouth watering and amazing.

I don't understand why another customer compares this to an Ice Cream stand run by Hitler. I've met the owner many times, and the girls she has working there here and there...none ever treated me so rudely I'd rather go to a genocidal maniac's ice cream stand over them. I think I can safely say that if it was that bad once upon a time, it has dramatically improved and maybe you should give it...

The food and ice cream here are THE BEST!!! I love their pizza logs! And their fried pickles are unbeatable! The people working here aren't always the happiest so maybe if we give them a nice tip, they'll be happier?? I can't imagine the amount of people they deal with on a daily basis (great location!) so I can understand their frustration...but please try your best to be nicer to the customers! The only other suggestion would be to use real hot fudge...they're hot fudge is like a chocolate syrup. Regardless of the negatives, they still receive...
