Janelle’s Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Prunedale

Janelle is the energy and vibe of this relaxed hidden gem of a Castroville tavern. The atmosphere is casual and the folks who come in for an after work drink or a Saturday night pool game are hard working locals and a flock of pretty ladies looking for one of Janelle’s signature cocktails.

My favorite Janelle cocktail is the Mami Tami. This for la raza, if you like pulpa de tamarindo, and chamoy, like I do, you are going to enjoy this sweet refreshing cocktail. Word to the wise, this place isn’t for IG wannabes. It’s a real bar, baby. ❤️ can’t wait to go back to say hi to Janelle and for a Mami Tami.

This place was amazing on a Saturday morning the new owner opened early for all of us bar families waiting for our monarch bus to the Giants game. So very welcoming with breakfast burritos for like $6 and Michelada's with the works for like $9. Card and cash accepted. Only beer and wine bar, but can do wine cocktails like Phil's across the street. Will try to come here again on my travels from salinas to SC or visa versa!
